TVT Supercharged July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 Interestingly, a few months ago, I went to a high end hi-fi store and the boss told me the same thing that the casino took away his business. His customers including many South East Asian tourists spent their money at the casino. How does these bosses, conclude that the customers spend money in the casino and not in their business, hence make them suffer losses ? It is easy to blame here n there. But where is the proof ? ↡ Advertisement

Camrysfa Turbocharged July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 Strange, reason why his bus to Malaysia drop should be due to budget airlines too.
Kangadrool Supersonic July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 (edited) Maybe SG side finances the bus purchases in MY, while the MY side took advantage of the increased inflow into SG RWS??? You can still see Five Stars coaches running in and out today. Not too sure about the biz arrangement. Just guessing.... he should be getting more business since they ferry so many people across the border to RWS I prefer coaches to MY, up till KL areas. In fact, new coach players came in with the emergence of budget airlines. Examples like First Coach which has expanded too. IIRC, Nam Ho also started running their own coach service....... Strange, reason why his bus to Malaysia drop should be due to budget airlines too. Edited July 30, 2014 by Kangadrool
Jman888 Moderator July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I think RWS got own free chartered bus right ? Besides the MY five star bus service is still operating, only the SG travel agency was closed down, no ? do they? though i saw there is a coach terminal at the basement of RWS, i thought it is for different bus companies. L23 6th Gear July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 I guess they might have ceased operation, probably gahmen stepped in. But five star bus is still operating as far as I know. What you see is the REAL company from Malaysia.. What this guy is having is just an agency like franchise.... Anyway Casino is not built overnight.. If he is so good, he should have see this coming.. Please don't go around and blame everyone when you fail...

Camrysfa Turbocharged July 30, 2014 Share July 30, 2014 Five Stars Travel is like a lizard lost it's tail. Still see the bus running. Take it that it has many facets. Only the one run by Ken Lim folded. There is little news who where is the lizard head/brain.
Ender Hypersonic September 5, 2014 Share September 5, 2014 There's a new company running the old 5 star bus with 5 star ex-employee. The new company owner is the former Five-star boss's cousin. He said the new company nothing to do with him, he is still kopi boy. DO you believe him? The sudden respect for he humble pie act is diminishing. http://news.omy.sg/News/Local-News/story20140905-290188 伍星前合伙人仍用伍星快车前老板:与我无关 伍星旅游公司旧址,开设旅行社,用的是伍星快车,而且传出负责人是伍星前老板林清泉的表妹! - See more at: http://news.omy.sg/News/Local-News/story20140905-290188#sthash.NqbRsFiD.dpuf
Ysc3 Twincharged April 1, 2016 Share April 1, 2016 another one bites the dust .... again !! 300 left in the lurch as travel agency S Travel goes bust About 300 customers of a travel agency specialising in trips to South Korea have lost their holidays and their money after the company went bust. S Travel, based at Fuji Xerox Towers in Anson Road, closed on Thursday - a day before 40 of those affected were due to fly off. The customers had paid between $1,500 and $1,800 each for their tour packages and another 40 due to go tomorrow also face being grounded. S Travel, which was started in 2010, had its licence revoked by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) yesterday. "STB is looking into the matter and may consider taking further actions against S Travel and its directors, if necessary," the tourism board said in a statement. The closure of S Travel follows the winding up of several agencies last year, including Asia-Euro Holidays and 707 Travel Services. Mr Ken Lee, corporate secretary of S Travel, said the firm's finances were in order when they were checked in June last year, but the company had run into "financial difficulties" of late. A bank loan due to come in late last month fell through and the company also owes its Korean partner, Jung Ho Travel, around $900,000 for hotel room bookings. Mr Lee added that S Travel has about 10 staff, who have not been paid their March salaries. Mr Lee said the company's director, Mr Nam Sang Ryong, has left Singapore but declined to say where he has gone. The Consumers Association of Singapore had received six complaints about S Travel as of 5pm yesterday. It advised those affected to contact their insurance providers if they have bought travel insurance or, if not, to file a claim with the Small Claims Tribunal. Meanwhile, other travel agencies, including Air Sino-Euro Associates Travel, Citystate Travel and Dynasty Travel, have said they will help affected customers by offering them special rates on tour packages. An S Travel customer, who wanted to be known only as Ms Siti, paid $6,069 for a trip to Seoul, Busan and Jeju with her mother and sister. "It was to be my first trip to Korea," said the 28-year-old nurse. "I'm very disappointed."
