Darryn Turbocharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 Enough of your 大道理 lah... You should go become a pastor or Taoist priest or something.... since you enjoy preaching and lecturing to people I don't "preach" What I say....I do... The alternative is - are you saying that we SHOULDN'T try to help? If you son or daughter was in that car - are you saying that you wouldn't care if nobody stopped to render assistance? If they said, screw it - I don't want to be late for my breakfast, just let them die? ↡ Advertisement
Jellandross Supersonic May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 video already out in FB https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=758362247542278&set=vb.416856241692882&type=2&theater obviously speeding, cutting lanes and then exit abruptly. no pity. not surprising at all. with the kind of damage to the car, it's not likely to be a "suddenly lost control of the car for no reason" kind of accident. the road was relatively clear so there's really no difficulty in filtering out behind the cam car. the exit route became too steep as a result of filtering in front of the cam car. i read the news that there were 6 person in the car including the driver. that would have made the car's suspensions extremely clumsy, further hampering the sharp turn's stability. i know it's a cliche but i keep reminding myself every single day while behind the wheel that i should be the one controlling my car, not my ego.

Sp4wn Turbocharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 (edited) ok la we all dont need to argue about the cam car la ... it's each person own prerogative if they wish to help / want to carry on. no point to argue abt the cam car since whats done is done and hindsight is always 20/20 easy for most of *us keyboard warriors to say what we will do or not (and like i said earlier, i myself was not sure ... so i cannot fault the cam car for anything at all since these things may take a while to settle in?) *edit : sorry spell wrongly Edited May 2, 2014 by Sp4wn

Fuelsaver Supercharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 In this case, do you be think if the cam car rather be an ass*** road hog could save the GTi? better not in case the golf doesn't slow down at all. Then, the cam car may be blamed as a crucial factor causing the accident. There would then be speculation that the cam car was involved in racing with the GTi. imho, the cam car was lucky to had change to lane 2. no way the cam car was racing, given the speed was just "normal" based on the moving scenery. this being the case, i'd still submit my evidence if i was cam car driver.
Babyt 4th Gear May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 luckily the car overturned at exit where no one will walk at the pavement...imagine someone did the same stunt on a road junction....could have hit pedestrains or morning joggers...

Hamburger Hypersonic May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 honestly speaking, in a wreckage like this, it takes a trained person to access the situation before jumping into it.
TVT Supercharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 3. A LOT of IRE reserved for the camera car, no attempt at all to stop and help. THAT deserves scolding and cursing - he had time to stop, if he wanted to. Even if going to the airport, he could have stopped - the traffic was light, absolutely no excuses for him. I hope that he lives with the knowledge that people were hurt and he didn't care. Selfish b**tardish The cam car driver might not even know about it, and drove onwards. He could be distracted by a phone call, or a passenger talking to him/her, etc.
Vhtfhwlego Supercharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 In motor racing, that is the best racing line but he may have forgotten this is a public road.In motor racing, that's the best racing line but he had forgotten that it's slow in, fast out.The car may still be in control if that he's alone in the car but when 5pax are together with him, It add about 250kgs of mass to the tyre stress, under steers so much that don't have the enough space to recover. Paid with his life and took another along with him.
Fuelsaver Supercharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 Very clear from video driver was speeding. Question is why is he moving from lane 1 to lane 3 as if to exit if he was going to the airport, and it didn't seem like he lost traction. Exhaust looks like golf R, compared with those in SGcarmart. i opine is understeer after he hit the brakes again, followed by hit kerb at outside of bend, then flipped til car roof hit tree before rebounding n landed. Duckduck Turbocharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 . i read the news that there were 6 person in the car including the driver. that would have made the car's suspensions extremely clumsy, further hampering the sharp turn's stability. i guess thats wat happened as well. The driver prob cld have taken that corner if he was the only person inside but 5 other pple is 200KG++ weight shift which will affect handling

Duckduck Turbocharged May 2, 2014 Share May 2, 2014 (edited) i opine is understeer after he hit the brakes again, followed by hit kerb at outside of bend, then flipped til car roof hit tree before rebounding n landed. if u hit the brakes hard instead of throttling ard a fast corner, u will lose grip and trailbrake oversteer unintentionally. Actually i feel all owners of powerful cars should for racetrack training sessions to understand the limits of their car. It helps alot for defensive & highway driving to know how your brakes work under different scenarios Edited May 2, 2014 by Duckduck
