Hi fellow x-trail owner, I already put down deposit for Qashqai 2.0 on 17th november and not realise x-trail has got so many interesting features. In dilemma now, dunno whether I should add money upgrade to x-trail (will they allow me?). I especially like the greyish blue bodycolor and legroom + rear air-con for 2nd row + auto tailgate. Otherwise, QQ 2.0 moonroof is nicer, sound insulation is better, the rim is pretty.

x-trail owner do you really use the heated and cooled cupholders? quite cool to have.

PS: My first time buying car, will be driving weekly to JB.

don't think AD simply let you just top up some $$ to upgrade to X-Trail, they may charge you cancelation penalty,

If they have yet to secure the COE or car, why not? By paying extra $$ for upgrading mean the SE also earn more. e.g. higher loan amount.....

i saw on video reviews of the X Trail on  youtube, their xtrails seems to have these as standard:

Lane departure warning

Blind spot warning

Does the Sg version has that?

And another thing I would like to know is, how is the spare tyre taken out?

No to both features.

Spare tyre is mounted under the car, never tried to take out but I believe you loosen something like a wing nut on the top and the tyre fall out from under.

actually i do find the 5 seater version is a lot better when it comes to the rear storage space.. it is very much more versatile.

And frankly most of us will not be sitting anyone at the last 2 seats.

true to a certain extent. when the 3rd row is folded down, the space is huge.

notwithstanding so, most of us in our x trail whataspp group chose the x trail because of its 3rd row and its versatility (occasionally use of 3rd row seats).

Yeah totally agreed,

My mum booked the Xtrail at 130K+ non guaranteed COE 6 rounds, they peg the COE at 40k+ in the contract which I told her almost impossible to get, anyway after bidding many times and the SE telling no worries sure can get in the end  the SE told her need to top up 5k to secure the COE.

All in all the deal wasn't too bad but should have gone for the guaranteed route instead of wasting time.

congrats to your mum! i think she will look cool driving the x trail.

heh heh. u will see the difference when an X trail park beside a QQ. :)

nonetheless, even as the smaller bro, the QQ looks great as well. so either that, you are getting yourself a cool SUV.

Agreed, I suppose the main factor is that the driver must be comfortable with the overall size of the car. Given the price and features its a steal. Only gripe is the car could do with more power hehe

hi Chrispie

Singapore version there is no Lane departure warning and blind spot warning.

as for the spare tyre, it is within the boot. u have to lift up the third row seat and unscrew the wing nuts that secure it. its quite easy.

actually he can transfer the car to another QQ buyer, then book Xtrail for you separately,

no benefit for him, why does he help you?
