No. Because the rebate level is at $46K. Which means the drop of $8K from $46K ( @ COE $50K ) therefore the reduction of selling price.

I see.... Anyway will see their pricing strategy when today's price list is out. Quick glance at the headline news saw TC Gm Ron already reiterated that the COE drop quantum will not be reflected in the sales price.

This COE bidding exercise hails the beggining of slide that everyone is predicting. Just like property market... Once everyone can feel the price sliding, the AD will either need to have a brand new popular model or price it really attractively for people to jump in from sideline.

Same sentiments. That fatty has been talking up the COE.

X-trail is at $118,988 nett

(Yom 2016)

6 rounds non guaranteed bids

Rebate at $40,000

Add $1,000 for 6 rounds guaranteed bids with rebate $41,000

TC not too keen move units...price reduction is the worst of all AD so far. Probably cos their shipment coming in April earliest.

Finally signed on the dotted line after a long considerations. A very close call between Harrier (very nice specs but PI) , XT and Tuscon (attractive package and price). Tested a number of cars over a 3 weeks period.

Thank you very much to Bro Linshun for the recommendation of SE in TCM. Very nice and accommodating lady. No wonder well recommended.  The best among a few that i gotten to know during my past visits to other TCM showroom.

Do PM any of us if you still on the fence and need an SE to intro. :)

Waiting patiently for the arrival of the XT in march. Meanwhile, Drive safe everyone and see you on the roads. :)

Put it up in Quotz in Sgcarmart or Wheel Deal and you will get much better prices. When I buy a new car from AD I do not even bother asking them about trade in value of my present car. It is a pure waste of time.

The XT is not priced competitively for time being . Study the pricing trend vis-a-vis the COE prices for the last 3 bidding exercises and you will know what I mean. They have done the same for the QQ 1.2. I would not be looking at the QQ or XT for the time being (unless car being scrapped soon) until the stocks get replenished, they are able to catch their breath and finally decide to reflect the prices correctly. As an eg, the price gap between Outlander and XT used to be 1-2k and now the Outlander is 10k cheaper. The Forester XT was also similarly priced as X-Trail and now the Forester is 6k cheaper.

Depend on u stand on which side point of view. As a buyer, u are right but as a current owner, they feel that they get a better value car as their car price can hold higher

I got the $38k coe at 1st attempt. Super excited! Now is to wait till Apr for my red xtrial.

So you got COE rebate? Minus the rebate amount, how much you actually paid for your ride? Is it better price than the latest pricing118,988?

With the discretionary cash discount of 1-2k by the SE off the current list of 118,988, that is pretty similar to the $116,598.

TC is pricing their post COE drop prices to make sure customers who already signed do not bang table the next day...

But then again... There are a few more COE bidding exercises before their April shipment. I wonder how long TC can hold out with that kind of pricing strategy.

Time to relook their profit margin of >20%...

SE confirmed that I have got the COE, as well as $8K off the selling price. Now is just the looooooong wait for the shipment to arrive. :chilling:

Did you get your coe at first attempt? What is your final price after coe rebate? When is your car expected to be ready? Mine is red was told no stock, approx early April then can collect.
