Rude remarks made in the spur of the moment are fine. We can take it graciously.

What I worry is that his hatred for Singaporeans is a prolonged affair. He seems to indulge in sedition against the islamic faith and also continues to rally philippinos against the Singaporeans (his targeted group) This is akin to terrorism. Singapore has no room for that. He must be removed from Singapore in case his extremist views develop into something more sinister.

Follow up with times, with modern day technology, we can use emails, or even better, facebook to highlight our concerns which can be seen by everyone in public giving the concern greater reach with minimal effort. Actually if you read their facebook, many people already brought this concern to TTSH. The ball is already in their court. TTSH has a responsibility to inform the public if the errant staff is still on active duty. So without a proper respond, it is fair that the worry is causing frustration to the public albeit some evidently lack the proper skills to convey their worries.

From another article;(not mine)

Remember earlier this year, when GMS, Gilbert Goh and various anti-PAP paper warriors were proclaiming victory when the Pinoys called off their trespass (taz how GMS spun a Pinoy plan to hold a party at a public space in Orchard Rd)?

They were cock-a-hoop, trumpeting their victory. Pinoy pride was badly hurt.

Very recently, the Philippines ambassador to Singapore Antonio A Morales says that Filipinos are moving into more sectors of employment

The estimated number of Filipinos working in Singapore tripled in the past decade to about 167,000 as of 2013, according to Philippines census data.

Filipinos are willing to take on jobs for lower salaries, with working conditions unacceptable to Singaporeans.

The trend has made Filipinos easier to exploit, disadvantaging both them and Singaporeans, said migrant rights activist Jolovan Wham.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-28953147

And this at a time when the PAP administration is saying that its tightening FT employment rules. If so how come Pinoys are moving into more sectors of employment

So it seems the Pinoy colonization of Spore continues despite what the PAP administration and Meng Seng says.

What do you think?

Btw heres more about the PAP administrations love of FTs, and Pinoys sliming us. I wrote this in July 2014 but decided not to publish it as I didnt want to come across as anti-Pinoy (I like being served by Pinoy service staff), nor did I want to be associated with a man who helped ensure the PAPs preferred candidate won the presidential election (I had no issues with the Pinoys partying at Orchard Rd if they could meet the requirements).

But since the ambassador is raising the temperature with his comments (the embassy has form in this respect), Ill add my two-pence worth on the issue of Pinoys sliming us and the PAPs administration love of FTs.

Pinoys vilify us

The education minister said last week [week before 26 July] it is important to go beyond understanding the main races in embracing diversity.

Singapore has thrived because of our openness to international trade flow, knowledge and cultures, all of which have brought us opportunities and progress. As Singapore moves towards a more diverse landscape, it is important that we continue to embrace diversity, said Mr Heng.

We also need to go beyond understanding the main races to respecting all people regardless of race, language or religion, who live and work in Singapore for the happiness, prosperity and progress of our nation.

Given that there are about 200,000 Pinoys working here, the largest group outside the main races, one can only assume, he is trying to tell us to be nice to the Pinoys.

No wonder there are Pinoys who think that the PAP stands for Pinoy Action Party.

Do you think he is merely all talk and no action only?

The fact is, we all don't know.

But seeing the circumstances, I don't think this is a chance we all can afford to take. All it takes is a window for him to act for his frustrations against his targeted group of people in a moment of rashness. Apologies serve little purpose after carnage. Prevention is better than cure.

Everyone wants a better life and people will move to places where there's a better chance at that. In Philippines, you endure corruption and security problems. You cannot walk down the street thinking you are safe everyday. You can easily buy an assassin from the ghettos with 5 grand in Philippines. Firearms are common sight to behold on a daily basis. Natural disaster management has plenty of room for improvement. And in some places, these management don't exist. You fend for your own or die. From a humanitarian aspect, who in the right frame of mind can endure such lives??

Singapore became everything they don't see. Yes, there's discrimination, they are as good as being back to square one when they embark in a new career in whatever industries they have to go into. But they are willing to take the plunge into an unfamiliar land...all for the sake of a better life.

And this is the reason why many Philippinos are here. They make a decent living, they live their life with a desire for stability and safety. Living in a foreign land far from a home they cannot stay, it is very natural that the Pinoys will want to do something to alleviate themselves of the away from home misery. Sometimes, they get carried away, sometimes they do something without knowing it irritates the locals. Sometimes they thought some harmless fun is their prerogative. We sometimes do the same when we go overseas... have you sped in Malaysia before? All in the name of harmless fun? Have you stepped into Malaysia and told everyone that everything's cheap and you can afford to buy your Malaysian friend an expensive dinner for several days, one which he can only afford once in a blue moon? Have you ever walked into a Thai agogo club and grope the women there? Have you considered their feelings? Perhaps they are already numb to these? The absence of mens rea can be clearly seen in many of the harmless fun sometimes taken with insensitivity. That's all... shouldn't we practice some generosity as host?

But some really wants to displace you, really wants to hurt you and he wants the impact to be amplified as greatly as possible. These are the black sheeps we should worry about. And in this case of the TTSH nurse, he falls in this category.

Once in a while, our PAP installed broken filter allows the black sheeps to slip into Singapore and these black sheeps create havoc. However, they do not represent the many good Philippinos who just merely want a life. And if we as the host are angry, we should direct our anger at the person who misbehaved and leave the others who genuinely want a life.

Be specific with your anger. Direct it at the right person. Leave the rest who are only here to make a living.

Good! I agreed if the FW come and gain economically. But lately, some are coming for territorial, political and invasive reasons. Read the other article by Tommy Koh on wage depression for the lower rung. If there is this fear that you, yes you, can be replaced tomorrow by them because they are cheaper not better, than something is wrong with MIW policy!

Remind me of the Taiwanese teen who slashed and kill a number of ppl last yr. Public was furious towards his parents, yes they should be held responsible for the poor upbringing or failure to detect their son weird behavior. But we should not treat them as murderer too.

Its quite sad to see therealsingapore trying to stir this issue to increase their viewership.

From the current evident don't think his account was being hacked. He is a real black sheep, hopefully TTSH and the authority faster turn him into Kambing soup. [rifle]

Wage depression is always there.

It is a natural form of dilution, both in a physical and economical world.

If a company has a bunch of highly paid employees and now it's able to employ others (foreigners) at a lower pay, why not ?

Even if the perceived skill level is lower, it is now able to cut cost through reduced manpower and salaries.

It's the same in the USA. Cheap Mexicans labourers crossed the border legally or illegally and put Americans out-of-jobs.

Do you think the out-of-jobs Americans sit down and do nothing ?

If a country's gahmen will not protect its own citizen's job, then they deserved to be kicked out.

Who do they think they are ? United Nations ? Providing jobs for the whole world, regardless the woes they put their citizens through.

They would do wise to think again, who is the ultimate boss ?

Agreed again. Key point is if the policies are wrong or the people suffer then it is time to kick them out but can you see the deep rooted control in this island that has the worst gini coefficient, high poverty ratio, asset inflation, now pmet losing jobs. How many taxi drivers are graduates? Too many! The Singaporean only job for now. 60% votes but control over 90% if not 100% of our lives. It is not xenophobia but more of wanting more space and true talents that can supplement not replace the people.
