Bacteria83 Turbocharged January 4, 2015 Share January 4, 2015 Have started to detest life in Singapore since a few years ago... but I hope PAP will do more to lower the costs of living and working here. Trashy Foreigners aside there are other more pressing issues ahead.. Just talking with a few of my friends in other sectors of industries during the year end gatherings reveal that contrary to rosy newspaper reports that our economy is doing well..scores of factories are packing up for other countries...employment will be bleak for the next few years which is why I guess PAP is trying to stage an early election before things get rougher. Most of the so called jobs are in hotels or services such as dishwashers, chambermaids, hospital helpers etc..not that I am demeaning these positions but just be aware and beware... We are growing at a slower pace them expected. A strong SGD is detrimental to overall economy, instead of saving up alot of younger population is enjoying the purchasing power and spending lots on trips. Pressed also no use, already inked years ago in the pursuit of GDP growth at our cost. More bonus for MIW, peanuts for you. If they have better solution although wont get approve must also voice out, so that we can hear and see. If the reason that the better solution is ignored due to number game, im sure we will help to change that. Opposition need to do more to show and lead us, only time i see them providing alternative solution is during the white paper debate. Besides, there is a need to distinguish between FT (foreign talent) and FW (foreign worker).We need FW but only a few who are really talents and have skills where SGP is lacking as FT.
