Developer and contractor nowadays go by Law.

They will register a company for the warranty period.

After the one year is up, they closed the company.

You have no legal means to pursue . Plus warranty period is ONE year. LL suck thumb...

Wah.. Sound like my usa supplier. Once project over, they liquidate their company... But if u want buy similar item, they have another company ready to take order.

To the man on the street, it just is so wrong. Another PLUS for our fabulous consumer protection Act/Law or whatever fark name they want to call it

This is baffling to me.. If I buy goods from manufacturer, and the goods is defective.. I cannot chase damages from manufacturer, but have to go pursue the seller's sub-contractor??  what logic is this??  :slow:

Nowadays products' quality are getting more and more sloppy. The products that my company sell from reputable brands in UK and USA standard also dropping. The brands are not willing to adsorb the freight cost for warranty also.

Making it very tough for us as we have to adsorb. I guess if the scale goes bigger, many resellers also have it tough if the manufacturer don't want support. Better get from China since quality about the same and cost of the product from China so cheap that 1 to 1 exchange not much loss.

by our courts' logic.. Kawasaki should have told SMRT to go after the aluminum supplier since the train hairline cracks were due to impurities in the aluminum alloy..

Yup. Exactly who is the !@#$%^&*( who enacted this law?

Those bloody developer made $$ and then will disappear into thin air. And next day, got another development and so set up another company to fleece the buyers again with the same sub-standard works...

Time to bankrupt them to make good all the shoddy things they accepted...
