U'll be severely dehydrated on the verge of death within hours if you're not on a drip. Even on a massive drip, u'll barely be able to catch up.

LOL, I was about to post about how it reminded me of the first two Hellraiser movies (which were *awesome*) but you beat me to the punch.

 

Another movie that has done the whole skinless thing is French flick Martyrs. That is a pretty twisted movie, highly recommended.
