Do your riders take the front seat? Used to take hitch riders in the old car but haven't tried on the current one yet. Wonder if everyone will now choose to sit in front due to space.

the worst was a mother and child who ignored my comments about not eating in car, so i cancelled the ride and sent them back. then kenah flamed on fb. another one complain on me when i dropped her at nearby busstop (and she agreed) instead of actual destination. others like late 20 min, treat you like chauffeur (make me stop the car in front of her instead of walking 10m to my car) etc...

 

 

definitely.. u will need to make a detour to pick up/drop off (no matter how small, it still is a detour from your usual route), sometimes you wait for them for a few mins, etc. sure will affect FC. but unless your car is 6km/l drinker, otherwise overall you still benefit.

I feel you totally..which is why I am thinking of giving up the hitch. Some I have to blatantly say I am not a driver to earn a living.

what is your current car? 

 

i would say generally half the pple sit behind... usually guys sit in front more than girls... 

and so far my best experience is with matured SAF pple.. regular or nsmen

I took an OL before.

From our conversation, she told me she was asked out by the driver and to be his regular.

 

All these were done outside the hitch.

She was rather frustrated to the extent she blocked his SMS and calls.

 

I told her to save the evidence and report him to Grab..

She's very attractive, but we shouldn't do this to the extent it becoming a nuisance..

Want to share an experience as a grab hitch rider.

 

It was late at night at changi airport when I touched down. So as I was leaving arrival Hall I was wondering if I could catch the last bus because taxi was expensive and uber and grab was also expensive. Uber pool was over $30. Suddenly I remember grab hitch (this will be my maiden grab hitch ride) so I request for it.

 

For over two minutes the app shows requesting for driver so I started to feel no point and cancelled the ride. But just as the app showed my ride was cancelled it also showed a driver accepted my ride. I quickly re requested for the ride and got it.

 

After meeting the driver, I asked him when we were alone (he had other passengers earlier) if he had a booking that was cancelled just after he accepted. Cos I did not know if the first person who accepted my ride was him or another driver. He mentioned it was him and that he was surprised why I rejected him just immediately after he accepted.

 

So I told him what happened, that I thought no one will accept so cancelled the call but because I was looking at the screen saw someone accepted just before my app cancelled my request. It just got me thinking that if the first person who accepted my request was another driver, he would be wondering why I would cancel without any reason.

 

Fortunately in this case, the person who got rejected during my first request and the person who gave me the ride eventually were the same person so I could explain what happened.
