Cos Japan-made is right hand drive only. So import from Turkey. But Taiwan should be capable of manufacturing the CHR.

Think this car is already in Singapore, saw it being freshly delivered at Sin Ming. Looks really big from the outside.

hmmmm after wifey booked hybrid 1.8s last week, today considering buying and almost signed paperwork for g model for my parents (cause they like the LED headlights)

fortunately my wife asked about g model cevs and realised that price is only based on $30k cevs.. if g model is not given $30k cevs then need to top up!! e.g. if $20k cevs then need to put in $10k more :(

indeed if g model is confirmed not given $30k cevs by LTA, that would make the s/g models price difference to be at least $16k.. seriously!!?? just for additional bling bling features (my view) and nothing to do with engine or performance etc :(

ok i could be worrying over nothing and its possible g model could be $30k cevs.. but i am aware of the cevs difference between vezel hybrid x/z models.. which seems to be a possibility for chr s/g models cevs differences :(

just sharing for awareness.. and its probably good to await g model cevs confirmation by LTA, then commit.. but if anyone knows any PI who sells g model at $120k and below (without any cevs top-up clause).. do pm me please :)

nice car, congrats on new purchase

i get what you mean, essentially the same engine and drivetrain, weight about same, should be same CEVS.

the toyota hybrid esquire and hybrid voxy also this case. same car but different CEVS banding.

maybe you can ask them what is the carbon emission rating of the 1.8s that is certififed by LTA?

if borderline case, then the 1.8g might be different.

if cross the mark by a lot, then the 1.8g should be 30k too.

thats a good way to go by checking on 1.8s carbon emission rating by LTA!! tks tks :)

Cars Registered From 1 July 2015 to 31 December 2017

A1 / CO2 < 95 / S$30,000

A2 / 95 < CO2 < 105 / S$15,000

A3 / 105 < CO2 < 120 / S$10,000

also just realised there's no $20k CEVS.. its either $30k or next band $15k!! and in a horror scenario if g model is in band A2 then its easily $20k price difference from s model.. and just for bling... yikes!!!!

Your wife made a wise choice, Singapore's weather do not require heated seats.

yup my wife bought the hybrid 1.8s - delivery probably within 2 months :) she cant be bothered with the 1.8g extras e.g. heated seats, 18" rims, led sequential lights, autodim rearview mirror, additional interior finishes etc etc lol!!!
