Italy will always be among the top 8 lah. Regardless of the standard of Serie A and/or their players, thay always know how to perform during tournaments. There is continuity as all the coaches know how to play it the italian way

I was very impressed with Albania after they went to ten men. Although they lost, they really troubled the Swiss.

 

I didn't watch the 2nd half of the Wales game.

The problem with Belgium is their coach is average. If they have a very good coach surely they have a chance, given the players at their disposal. A good coach can sometimes do wonder to average teams. Just look at Greece who won the euros.

Now a lot of average teams are very organized. We see teams like Albania, Northern Ireland qualified with average players. Surely it gives hope to any team. Don't forget Leicester too

Quite agree with your assessment but trouble is this group is the group of death and as such Ireland and Sweden are difficult teams to beat as well. Their more established players like Hazard and De Bruyne have to step up and be match winners else it would be curtains for the Belgians.

ha ha ha... yes, that one. I was going to brush my teeth for school, then saw it. The referee lagi kelong for not calling foul, red card and just played on.

 

Talking about last time west before combined germany. I once checked, up until 1994, i think they never failed to reach quarter finals of the world cup and Euro... really clinical to the max. Even when they gets decimated at a major tournament, next round surely bounce back.

Hazard was good. KDB and Lukaku were useless. And I think Dembele would have been better for the breaks. 

 

I enjoyed watching the fancied Belgians torn apart by Italy...

Conte, first impression is a shrewd tactician, won't play expansive football but more pragmatic and cautious which suits Chelsea so same DNA as JM and Simeone type of coaching style.
