My W212 rear suspension sway bar bushings are worn out. Should I just change the bushings which cost around $50 for a pair from parts store, and pay for the workshop labour? Or should I just change the entire bar with a new piece if the cost is not much more?

In other words, I am asking if the bar itself is subject to wear and tear and it will be prudent to replace the whole assembly. I go over a lot of humps in my area.

as far as I know, some newer merc sway bar bushings are no replaceable separately

correct me if I am wrong 😀

You might want to replace both control arm together.  I think there is a rubber bushing for the control arm.

What I am hearing is that I might as well replace the sway bar and the control arms together since they are probably not repairable (with fixed bushings).  Is Chip Soon a good place to do suspension change at, or is there another workshop to recommend?

if the control arm is fine why replace. the rear control arms can last quite some time. it is usually the front that goes more often.

Hi there,

I am looking to change my current ride to a 2016 W212 AMG Edition E sunroof. Greatly appreciate to any kind souls to share with me:

1. What’s the difference between E200 & E250? In term of features, engine, etc..

2. What should I look out for when scouting at this car?

3. what’s the min RON can the engine run on?
4. any other areas which I need to look out for?

Many thanks in advance for your sharing!

AD Cycle can send back for update

then PI car how?

I think only for those Merc the made in USA. If made in Germany or other countries should not be affected.

BTW bro, please Do Not follow that advice to keep your engine running when you change the battery.. unless you have a AED nearby.. your battery guy could get a really nasty shock especially if he is hot and sweaty and not wearing gloves... not a risk worth taking.

The pros will know how to bring back your settings..

Anyone care to share the actual transacted price, if you had bought a GLA180 Progressive from C&C recently? MSRP is $181,888 currently.

C&C's basic car cost is 130k so you can gauge the selling price from there. Markup for E200 is 41k so the markup for GLA180 should be much lower.

Any thoughts on air suspension on GLC or GLE? Is it worth the upgrade? How much smoother will the ride be? Also, what's the maintenance cost on them like? Heard need to change after 5 years and it costs 1K per suspension? Pls advise thanks.

Air suspension is shiok when they are working. But they won't last, maybe 80k km they will conk out. You can get non branded replacement for as cheap as 300, 400 each from Aliexpress etc. Good for 1, 2 year of service.   Replacement is quite straight forward. Outside WS can do.

If you go back to tor Kor, I think no 8k, 10k no talk.
