Theoldjaffa Hypersonic July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 Borneo's insurance is very expensive. I got mine on my own, paid the $500 penalty, and still save more than $500 on the premium. I am not on 0% NCD.
Soya Supersonic July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 Think most if not all AD insurance tie ups are rip off price, until we claim. Was insured w AIG under MB Insurance b4. Kena hit n run. Reported to polis. Brought to C&C to repair. Took 2 weeks, they gave me an E-Class as a replacement car. Felt like towkay. Repair bill was $14k. Only paid excess n my NCD not affected n subsequent year no premium loading.

But I did opt my isurance to pay "any other workshop" at slightly higher but lower compare to AIG.
Arogab Turbocharged July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 I was quoted 1500+ with 50% NCD on BM Harrier.. my age group: 30-35. If without the NCD discount, the premium would be 3000.. gosh.. is it reasonable for my deal? Can check outside, might be cheaper than $1300

If without the NCD discount, the premium would be 3000.. gosh.. is it reasonable for my deal? That's what I was quoted too, or sign up two year deal with them and lower to $1300+ with 50% NCD. BM makes lot of money on the insurance too, I have another car which is a lot more expensive than Harrier turbo, yet lower insurance.

white_black 3rd Gear July 16, 2017 Share July 16, 2017 (edited) For insurance with BM, think take the 2 years insurance package works out much better. I bought this car for my wife registered under her name with 0% NCD. Premiums - 1yr $2700; 2 yr $4300. Age ~50. BM tie up with AXA. With $500 insurance rebate given as discount, deal looks ok. Mean if we take the 2yr package, the per year insurance premium is 4300/2 = 2150 before NCD ?
