I just checked with my contacts in BM for customers who just got delivery of their rides and their actual OMV $.

 

Premium is ~$33308 and Luxury ~$35708.

If I remember correctly, Premium only have 3 additional features over the elegance. Namely Sunroof, power tail gate, rain sensing wipper.   Based on bro white_black's input, the difference in OMV is $2,400(35,798-33,308). The ARF of Premium model is $5,760.00(2,400+2,400*1.4) higher than that of Elegance, so BM marked up by $7,000 difference is quite fair for a 150k car.

Well, some reasons why many went for the Luxury over the Premium are:

- parf value get back $1.7k more based in higher omv. Hence real difference is smaller at $7k - $1.7k = $5.3k.

- 2 more years of warranty i.e. Years 6 & 7 covered for unlimited warranty. It is full warranty, not partial/limited (worth $1k)

- no surcharge on sparkling white/black colours (worth $1k)

- additional features such as ventilated seats, Driver memory seat, power front passenger seat, Nappa leather seats and chrome trim parts on interior. These easily worth >$4K.

 

Overall, topping up $7k for Luxury is at a fair pricing considering the extras that are included. Just personal preferences and perceptions of value that differentiate Luxury vs Premium. Else, All are good.

But pi premium model for harrier NA, the OMV about 33k, based on 49k COE, They sell it for 138k.

 

That means PI earn 5k only? And why harrier NA pi has about the same omv as borneo one? Is it pi one earn cev rebate?

PI bought the car at a premium from their Jipun seller lor.

 

BM buy in bulk from Toyota, got better diskount.

 

If they dont sell at 5k margin, the car will be collecting dust in their showroom.

cant be 5k margin. they still need to give $1.2k commission to SE, install in car entertainent 5850, solar film, carpet and in car cam. those ald worth $1k. so left 2k plus for the dealer. very pathetic le those PI lol

1) Are they the same?

2) If my objective is to maintain gloss & easy cleaning which is suitable (as likely there will be 2 opinions, hence included my objective if it helps in anyway)

 

was quoted 980 (after 100 discount) for 1 time coat plus 2 servicing at 6 mthly interval.

Sounds quite expensive. I paid Just under $400 to get my glass coating done and that included one free servicing. There are so many different products out there these days and I have no clue what makes one glass coating better than another. I bought a separate detailing spray that I just spray and wipe every few weeks as well. It definitely helps keep the shine and its so easy to apply. Can do the whole car in about 30 min
