Singapore Reckless Driver Part V

This is happening too often.... Authority has to review....

One way to prevent re-occurrence is to sync the 2 sets of traffic light.  Both red or both green at the same time.  Alternatively, the 1st set of traffic light (immediate set of light) will always turn green before the 2nd set (further set of light) and should never be the other way round.

Same incident at the Bugis Junction there where the Ferrari ran the red lights. Now both sets of lights are synced together.

Keep forgetting to comment, on Sat 14 Oct, around 1.30 pm or so, at PIE jalan Toa Payoh towards changi, just before Safra area, there was a chain collision involving maybe 6-8 cars.

I was in the opposite direction going past, and saw one bright Red Range Rover stuck in the middle of the chain, with its rear pointing about 45 deg upwards - as the car behind, must have quite low bonnet so likely went under the Rover's backside, and pushed it skywards...

I told family sure will hit the news, but seems like never did?

Maybe it has only just happened, as the tailback was only until the flyover down from Toa Payoh central. I think later sure will jam further...

Anyone saw it?

Yes, it must be this one. The red Rover so distinct...

My kids were asking me whether got anyone inside it or not, how they get out, etc....

Hope nobody's hurt...

Good riddance. On first look, the 6-weeks sentence sounds harsh but have to bear in mind the fact that the victim suffered numerous injuries:

Mr Teong felt pain in his chest and neck after the accident. X-rays from Changi General Hospital revealed that Mr Teong suffered several fractures on his right rib, and was given two weeks' medical leave.

Mr Teong also sought treatment at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre where an MRI scan showed that he had a large left chronic subdural haematoma - a cause of his right-sided weakness and disorientation.

He had to undergo surgery and has since recovered fully. The doctor from the hospital had given his opinion that the haematoma was likely caused by the collision between the GT-R and Corolla.

Great to see him off the roads for awhile.

Since he's a NSF, does that mean he will have to serve his time in DB as well?

NCAP Crash Test???

Seriously what was the driver doing?  Signalled left, moved a bit to the left already but decided to move back into lane and smashed the stationary car.... And after smashing stationary car, it decided to move left, thus 2 lanes were blocked and unusable as a result...

From the rear cam footage, it could be (possible) that as the Latio was signalling left and filtering, the car in the left lane sped up, and Latio driver chickened out and decided to filter back without taking his eye off the left side mirror, and by the time he noticed that cam car had stopped - too late.

Watch from 0:03 to 0:05 of the clip - the car in front of the Civic with black bonnet.

Having said that, I also encountered a lot of drivers that like to signal one direction and then filter in the opposite direction... Dunno why...
