Cybertech 4th Gear December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 https://www.facebook.com/Roads.sg/videos/1768690496496679/ Pedestrian pass away. Was that a stroller or trolley? Watched again. Looks like they using the stroller as trolley and the baby and mum is following behind. The driver most probably get fine with the amount she is affordable and get ban from driving for a period which she is ok with. Seriously this type of light sentences for causing death should be changed to at least a year jail term and would be even better with caning.

Nzy Twincharged December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 If Cam Car is a old Car,he should just bang into the Civic & let Insurance see the Video. No one in their right mind will do it la... Cuz most likely end up 50-50. Unless cam car can prove he was alert and really couldn't see the Civic. Best thing cam car can do to get back at the Civic if he wants is to send video to TP.

Photograph: Jonathan Brady/PA Michael Savage, and Dulcie Lee Sunday 15 October 2017 00.05 BST Last modified on Saturday 2 December 2017 02.36 GMT This article is 2 months old Dangerous drivers who cause death while using their mobile phones or speeding will face life in prison, ministers have confirmed. The decision to go ahead with a major extension of sentences comes after a campaign by families and a cross-party group of MPs. Drivers who kill while under the influence of drink or drugs will also face a life sentence. And there will be a new offence of causing serious injury through careless driving, as part of renewed efforts to improve road safety. The new measures mean such drivers could face the same length of sentence as those convicted of manslaughter, with maximum penalties raised from 14 years to life. Last year 157 people were sentenced for causing death by dangerous driving, with a further 32 convicted of causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Tory MP Heidi Allen has been campaigning for life sentences for death by dangerous driving. The South Cambridgeshire MP has been supporting the family of a 21-year-old who was killed after being hit by a car on a night out. The killer was sentenced to four years, but was released after two. Labour’s Judith Cummins also pressed the government on the issue in July. Dominic Raab, the justice minister, said: “We’ve taken a long hard look at driving sentences, and we received 9,000 submissions to our consultation. Based on the seriousness of the worst cases, the anguish of the victims’ families, and maximum penalties for other serious offences such as manslaughter, we intend to introduce life sentences of imprisonment for those who wreck lives by driving dangerously, drunk or high on drugs. We will introduce a new offence of causing serious injury by careless driving, punishable by imprisonment, to fill a gap in the law andreflect the seriousness of some of the injuries suffered by victims in this category of case.”In response to a government consultation on dangerous driving, 70% of responses backed extending the maximum penalty for the offence to life imprisonment. Yewheng Twincharged December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 (edited) Was it a PHV woman drive staring at her phone? How can someone drove like that and mowed down a pedestrian in plain sight?? Most likely blindspot in the A-pillar. Why would anyone just turn blindly? The A-pillar of Wish too big? Ban her from drìving for a long long long time Don't underestimate the A-pillar blindspot hor. It can really cover a person inside if drive at right condition and timing. So where marking a turn at traffic light junction, best is to check clear of whether is there any people who is about to cross the road or on the way to cross the road by leaning the head left and right to check. I got once lean head left and check and found out omg, this cyclist is hiding in the blindspot. Edited December 12, 2017 by Yewheng

Cypher 4th Gear December 12, 2017 Share December 12, 2017 I don't believe the A pillar blocking excuse cause the victim is coming from the left side of the car not the right side. Had a few close call myself. ↡ Advertisement
