Ray7456 3rd Gear March 6, 2019 Share March 6, 2019 Thinking of getting the mi pad 4 wifi version through Lazada for some simple gaming at $2xx. Am i right to say that if it comes with Google Playstore then its good for use locally? I'm not familiar with all the global or china rom thingy. Am i right to say that if it comes with Google Playstore then its good for use locally? I'm not familiar with all the global or china rom thingy. Since they are export sets... I'm not familiar with the device itself. But generally speaking as long it comes with a global ROM, it should have playstore. There are chinese ROM devices which the seller sometimes will flash themselves to the global ROM. The only issue maybe with NFC/credit card authentication on android phones/tablets Cos the latter devices will be considered rooted and potentially hacked. But for your usage, yes, probably not much issue either way.

I see alot of relatively good reviews for this Huawei Mediapad T5, might want to consider this also. https://shopee.sg/Huawei-Mediapad-T5-10.1-LTE-FREE-Leather-Folder-(Local-Set)-i.21030308.1993357671
Albeniz Turbocharged December 5, 2020 Share December 5, 2020 Have been using an Xiaomi MiMax 1 for a number of years. Yes, very old phone (please try not to laugh). Problems starting to occur, e.g. slow charging; have difficulty recognizing the SD card,; videos taken by phone appears half-garbled when viewed from Microsoft PC. Decide to change to another android phone (Vivo). What is the quickest and easiest way to transfer the Apps, images, pictures, videos, phone contacts, whatsapp, sms and everything to the slightly newer Andoid phone?

I think vivo is under xiaomi right? See if there are build in apps to transfer. If not, Ive tried cloneit, copy my data and phone clone. I remember cloneit works best, but not perfect. Whatsapp you can do backup on your phone and load it into google driver and it will pull your messages to your new phone when you activate it. The simplest is don't transfer. Start with a new slate and only install those stuffs you use. If not you will be transferring tons of junk to your new phone.😄

Jamesc Hypersonic December 5, 2020 Share December 5, 2020 Serve you so many years and never buy another one. No brand loyalty. Btw Vivo is the young people's phone. Hope you feeling younger with your new Vivo. 1 hour ago, Albeniz said: Have been using an Xiaomi MiMax 1 for a number of years. Yes, very old phone (please try not to laugh). Kb27 Supersonic December 5, 2020 Share December 5, 2020 I have an old LG V20 which has served me well. Thinking of getting a back up phone just in case it died. So I look at the telcos offering and found LG not even there. Apparently, they have exited Sg market. Much has changed. I look at Xiaomi and was attracted to the big screen, big battery (5000mAH) and low price, 2 models struck my interest, Note 9 Pro, Poco X3. Budget friendly for me and performance seems ok. I just don't want a "downgrade" phone, but neither must it cost a bomb. I haven't looked at Huawei bcuz of US blocking, and google playstore and stuffs. But the range of China phones is staggering. Vivo, Oneplus, Oppo. It seems they all made by the same company in China and stickered with a different label. Well, I'm looking for a budget phone that is not too shabby.

I’m a fan of their v series. Was looking for the v60 dual screen but seems that it is only exclusive in US and TW and export prices are not cheap. I’m not sure of Vivo, but OP is quite different from Oppo. Oppo feels more like the typical Chinese phones like Xiaomi (UI, icons, no app drawer) while OP is more like Google/KR phones; the reason why OP is so popular in US and India.
