This morning while cycling along TMCR saw a cyclist sitting near the foreign dormitory/Newater plant with a bloodied face, still conscious but looked dazed. Never stop to help as he was already attended to by a few cyclists. An ambulance zoomed past from opposite lane so the accident should have happened awhile ago already. I am not sure if there is any statistics but such incidents should be expected as the number and size of peloton along TMCR has definitely increased alot over the last 2 years. Recently witnessed a few insane groups of 30 or more cycling close together at decent speed, should be regular trips and not one-off events. Definitely recipe for disaster as it only take one of them to make a mistake and a few cyclists around the rider would be taken down together. Definitely not something I will want to be part of just to be able to cycle at faster speed. And I really hate the idling hub noise that can go very loud when some of the riders stop pedalling and do coasting.

That's really really stupid just for some personal records along West Coast Highway. I'm betting these are some angmohs in quasi-clubs/raceteams like SG Mavericks etc. Been more than once I've spotted their shenanigans on the roads along WCH wearing their team jerseys. One would think they will be more conscious donning their jerseys, but not these a**holes. 2 of those in the pictures above looked suspiciously like the one on the left below,

TMCR so much action? I think I’m going to get some popcorn, a few cans of beers and a comfy picnic chair. Get a nice shady spot and wait for a crash. Nice way to spend a Sunday.

Exactly the same reason why people watch F1 - waiting for a crash to happen. 😄
