Thought got some announcement by PM... in the end more like ownself praise ownself and take pot shots at opp...

I watched about 3/4 of the speech from 3.50pm onwards to even after the pm speak finished and with exchanges with pritam Singh. Pm Lee do bring a very good point, that it is very dangerous to have the mindset of 2 to 1 aka vote for opposition and we will have pap to work for us too. Yes now it is of no issue, but if it become a habit, then our country political system will be in a big trouble..

Actually pm Lee speech is darn good, however there is one point that I feel that pm Lee should not jump to conclusions too quickly. Like this screenshot which he say this person surely knew this and yet he irresponsibly misused the wefie to insinuate that DBS was not fair to Singaporeans. Referring to the picture taken in India DBS with majority of the people in the photo are Indians.

This mindset is a very dangerous mindset as if a person straight jump to conclusions this person has a ill intention, without getting the facts of why that person done this, like maybe this person at 1st thought that this picture was taken in DBS in Singapore? What if it wrongly accused that person? Plus the jump to conclusions without getting the facts might end up cloud judgement of a person in making the correct decisions. Other then that his speech is really good with clear thought process.

This JT really need to have a proper oppo team against her next GE. Really buay tahan when she open her mouth

Difficult cause they will still place her in those super safe GRC. No oppo can bring her down la. And i guess high chance she will remains in Jalan Besar GRC in next GE. 🙄

No doubt, the idea is there, after a disastrous loss of another GRC, keeping the ruling party on their toes. But what we want to hear, are what concrete plans the government have, to ensure the Singaporean core doesn't get eroded, so that jobs are not unfairly given to foreigners, even though Singaporeans who are just as skilled are available, and perhaps even cheaper than a foreigner.

Maybe the ruling party should read forums more often, people who already outright say what wouldn't work. Increasing EP and S Pass entry salary requirements don't work, Jobs Bank doesn't work.

I am surprised to hear some PAP backbenchers supporting an EP quota and the minister saying it is not unthinkable (just not wise)...

We now have a debate and G can then try to convince everyone why we should not go there and what measures will be taken to safeguard local jobs. If you don't deliver, then be prepared to answer to the voters during next GE and lose a few more GRCs.

60% gave them the mandate, so bobian.

Jalan Besar GRC where JT is MP is a safe place. There are quite a higher number of elderly people there and they will definitely support PAP. The question in Jalan Besar is how much margin will PAP win and never if they get booted out .

Lim tean and gang will bring much needed hot air and entertainment to the residents there but when polling day comes, all kuai kuai choose PAP.

There is a part where pm Lee said about politicians at other countries face. The quote 'we know what to do, but we just don't know what to do to get re-elected. "unquote.

This one is really very real, as other countries politicans might know what to do to make the country progress, but because they scared get voted out and thus might choose the more populist approach that might not do that well to the country in long run but because they need to win the vote to continue hold the power. Lucky this thing is still not of an issue to pap due to pap currently still holds majority of the seats. But if one day if political party members would to have this thought process, then we are really in deep trouble.

Breaking news is a cheap shot, Sylvia Lim post a photo on social media saying what a skyline, and PM says indirectly she is acknowledging how well the PAP government has done, to make all these happen. 🤦‍♂️

she referred to the Nissan Godzilla
