I am so sorry i dont mean to be rude.

Please do not mislead others. That is not the correct site to check for Honda Vezel recall.

Is it? I used to use this to check for my jazz recall. Any idea what is the correct link then? I usually use this exact one and key in the required fields.

Hi all, may I know how does the chassis number look like? I mean like how many number? I just bought the vezel on sun, n my agent gave me the chassis number like # 2212. Is that all for the number? Also, where can I see which chassis number is afftected? I click to the link provided that link me to one motoring, I only could see which model affected and not the chassis number. Please advised. Thank you.

Don't bother to key in your VIN. All JDM cars (new) have to be registered first and then de-register before can be export to Singapore. Yes its still brand new. Its just that the status of your car to Honda Japan as a de-registered Japan car.

If it is not within that range it is not affected.

You can also key in your chassis number in this link.

For production/manufacturing date after Feb15th should be safe.

RU2-1234567 = 4WD Gasoline Version - PI did not bring this into Singapore

RU3-1234567 = 2WD Hybrid Version - Not affected due to using different method for auto idle stop/start feature

Does it mean then the dealers will only 'react' to the lta website instead of the japanese one? I'll call up my dealer and find out more then update here again. Sorry for the earlier confusion guys!

Since our cars are De-registered cars, Honda Japan would not provide the free recall parts.

there has been finger pointing between direct importer and dealer on who to bear this cost.

Its a substantial amount.

This is just an example

Over a period of 1 yr, lets say they sells 100 units.  Some PI sells way way more than this.

They take the profit on that sale and used it or spend it etc.

Now recall say all in parts/shipping and installation cost $1K per unit.

Thats a whopping $100K.

Not a small chunk of change.

I bet a lot of us will be screwed.

The only thing we can do is to keep lobbying with LTA.

There are about 4K+ Vezel in Singapore.

So please do take your PI advise with a pinch of salt. No sorry with a PAIL of salt.

Until they walk the talk we cant be sure.

As i have repeatedly said in previous post (not going to post again) the recall link from Honda site should be your reference.

follow the production date range and its listed chassis number.

Now i suspect PI will markup the recall cost to unsuspecting new buyer for all those on LTA VITAS KIV list.

If the selling price is within 5k difference, I would take the 2.0. But bear in mind the higher road tax & maintenance in long run.

not forgetting the difference between 40% & 50% down.

That's my ultimate mood killer

I spoke to my dealer and he told that presently Honda is solving the issue in Japan only first. Which means all other countries affected will not have the parts affected until Japan Honda releases it. And he also mentioned that the 'supplier' in Japan will keep all dealers updated with the parts. Fingers crossed...

Good for you.

While you wait as per your PI story, one PI already brought in and another one ordered the parts.

Looks like this dealer trying to bulls**t you. If that's the case, why the other PI autolink already brought in the spare parts now? Where he got it from?

Just as it was mentioned that Autolink has taken action, just state those PIs that told you their "tales". Maybe they genuinely have their hands tied, and everyone reading can get the facts.

I used to frequent watch forums where genuine service lapses were reported and they have CEOs of luxury brands or their reps reading the forums, leading to resolution of issues and general benefit to all. A forum is a powerful tool in this aspect.

Of course MODs are there to control slanderous posters.
