If anyone needs to lower the price, it's KAH who should be doing it.

The specs ("improved" HR-V) that KAH is offering is still inferior in both pricing as well as hardware specs compared to the PI models..

1) Both versions of the HK "Vezels" still run on SOHC.

2) Only their "premium" models have curtain airbags, LED headlights, cruise control and it costs S$114K.

Even a normal Vezel S with all options maxed out shouldn't cost more than S$100K.

In short, KAH is just æ¢æ±¤ä¸æ¢æ . Call it Vezel but everything else is still HR-V.

Agent car has better warranty n recall than PI ones.

Still don't follow this Kah strategy of selling a Vezel badged HRV.

In this era of internet, chats etc surely buyers will know or at least be made aware of the differences.

They should either continue selling the HRV for those who prefer the AD route regardless of the specs or import the "real" Vezel but stop pulling wool over buyer's eyes cos that's a real turnoff!!

I suspect that KM is sucked up in their contractual and territorial arrangements with Honda Japan which limits KM as local AD the freedom to do Product Branding or even direct importing from Japan.

I'm aware being local AD, Kah's hands are pretty tied by Honda Japan which forbids JDM models from being exported but my beef is on why the need to rebadge a HRV into a Vezel which to me tantamount to cheating/bluffing buyers. Unless there is a good explanation from AD or Honda Japan, I find this episode total unbecoming of a reputable AD and/or manufacturer whoever decided on this [thumbsdown]

Again I suspect KM may have asked Honda Japan for permission and this re-branding from HRV to "Vezel" is a commercial compromise. Vezel being a more popular namesake, so that for those unsophisticated buyer, they gravitate to KM showrooms. Just a silly warped idea, probably nothing more.

Exactly, that's my point! If the purpose is solely to "trick" the buying public then I say $#!?#!

Luckily got MCF and you guys to educate those of us who are unsuspecting.

If you are not interested in AD Vezel, can always get from PI. AD run a legal biz and its a willing buyer willing seller type of thing. NO tricks involved,

Renaming HRV as Vezel is not trick??

Willing buyer is true if all cards are laid on the table. I and many others might have bought from AD thinking that it was a Japanese Vezel with Vezel specs and features not knowing that they had rebadged the car so you call this willing buyer, willing seller? I call it willing seller, unsuspecting buyer!!

Well I'm not so free like you going round every thread and provoking forumers.

I'm just stating a fact and creating awareness on this abnormality just like how other forumers enlightened me on this discrepancy.

Quite a common practice for AD over here especially if the PI counterpart is selling very well.

Borneo is going to do the same thing by bringing in indo made sienta with inferior engine spec, they want to "mislead" buyers using same name as JDM models....

Then i can only comment that whoever buys from them is ......

Was at the car show last weekend and was told by the sales person there that the new HR-V is a DOHC which stock will arrive in second half of 2016...not sure if his smoking me...

Just to add...he also mentioned this new HR-V is made in Japan and exported out as HR-V while the JDM ones are called Vezel.

According to him, all specs similar to Vezel except that it comes with a factory fitted HU, leather seats and reverse camera...

It is my opinion that your contribution to this thread has reached the point of redundant. Go take a walk.
