When Kah brings in the new Vezel, it will be interesting to see their pricing.

If it's too high, it will drive potential Vezel owners back to the PI.

Furthermore, if it encroaches on Civic pricing, some will buy that, and eat into their own sales..

 

So IMO, their pricing should be quite competitive..

 

Imagine that one can get a Hybrid from PIs for 96k. If they bring this one in, it should be 10k more tops.

 

Think the price is already out. $110k and $114k.

IMO, just above what I feel is a fair price but the more impt question now is what specs and equipment will be brought in? It should be the equivalent of the PI imported Vezel or at most minor differences. Anything more and it will be back to square one. Fear is they just bring in the DOHC and otherwise everything else as per Thai HRV

 

Whilst you have a point on the clash with Civic price wise, it's a mini SUV vs saloon so not exactly direct competitor.

because of the ARF and taxes, most of the ADs bring in models with stripped down specs.

 

Kah motors no honda sensing. is just one example.

 

Subaru is another that bring in models without the vaunted Eyesight technology which most reviews rave about.

I was told they bringing in the turbo civic, thus they are no longer bringing in the 2.4l accord. Now onwards only 2l accord. They claim the size of the new civic and accord is very close to each other...

and they claimed no support from their workshop now. And say that PI have no proper support for all these "advanced" functions, if have more equipments, more problems. Crazy to hear that from the SE   like this, might as well go back to the 80s, with just radio, manual winding windows, no remote keys etc... Maybe their cars will have no problems at all

Yes. To name a few. Steeling audio control. The usd inlet underneath (suppose to has 3) the centre consol all missing. HU unit locally fitted. Seat leather locally fitted instead of factory fit.

 

Really strip down to the bare bone.

which is way ahead of the toyota/mazda/nissan/honda ....

 

if no cap at 130bhp ... cat a coe many registered car will be conti ... then many will kaypoh cat a coe are for the richies

 

uniquely singapore ... pay more for less power ...

Conti spend so much in R&D to make small engine efficient yet powerful. Us living in our clean & green singapore are being penalised for buying more efficient cars. Take a look at tesla's issue

KAH hrv specs is rubbish compared to Vezel. Yet how come our customs deem their OMV higher than Vezel???

Then they may be in the same range.

 

Instead the 2.4l is at least more different and may offer more room inside and power.

Hybrid for $96K? Where did you get this price from? Cheapest I saw was $102K and that is from a unknown PI. No loan and insurance must add $3K more and that brings the price up to $105K.

My friend runs Auto Solutions. Look for Mr Yap.. the price may fluctuate with COE, but he is good man, check with him on the latest pricing, cheers.

That is what i heard from their SE la. Now everything is pre-booking. No physical car to see and touch yet.

Why would the accord equipped with the 2.4 engine offer more room on the inside compared to the 2.0?

Compared to the 2l it doesn't obviously, but the larger engine and interior compared to the civic puts some difference in between. The 2l will only have the interior but performance will not be better. All compared to the civic. Cheers

Sad to say, pricing is one thing, spec+features is another matter.

If AD Vezel spec is still lower, unless they price it lower than vezel (which is not the case coz price is already out and higher the PI Vezel), otherwise you can only attract those ppl who die die wanna buy from AD or buyers who are under the impression spec of the AD Vezel is same as PI Vezel.

AD can offer workshop/readily spare parts/recall/warrenty. All these definitely worth a few k more.
