Hi Bros/Sis, Would like to check anyone has sent in Vezel to Kah Motor Honda Body Repair & Paint Centre for repair of damages due to accident.

Kah motor will not entertain. I remember 5yrs ago when I sent in my pre-owned CRV to KM for service, they ask for my license plate number to check whether car is PI

Lately, 2 friends bought vezel @ $98k and another HRV(Jap version) from KM @$108k pending collection from 1st batch Japan delivery. Price diff for a reason

Bros

Is there any link to a checklist of things to ask for when buying the car?

eg free camera / shades / visors and such?

Also any link to a checklist to be used when collecting the car?

Just doing my due diligence as my car reaches the 9 1/3 year mark...

Thanks to you and bro replied earlier. Just received email reply from KM that vezel can't be repaired at their workshops. I am checking Lee Sheng for quotations, any other reliable workshops to recommend ?

There is a checklist on what to check for a new car. IIRC it's in this forum, one of the stickies.

The list will include stuffs like:

Check chasis number

Checking reverse sensors - Put to reverse, step brake, get someone to cover the sensors to ensure you hear beeps

Checking the auto functions like windows to make sure they open/close properly.

Lamps, wipers, etc

Kah has the new MIJ HRV in for testing driving.

Sadly they won't allow deviation from their test route..

No chance to test it on a slope.

So am really grateful that bro wiiuwii allowed me to try his :)

If not for the reliability issues with PIs, that $10K is a good reason not to buy from KM... after all, most workshops can service the car easily...

Meaning? Buy from PI or KM?

Well if you are conservative, and likely to follow servicing in Kah motor throughout, or worry about recalls, COE bids etc.

Then like me you will go back to Kah, even if it costs 10k more..

Meaning will prefer buying from PIs for lower price if it wasn't for the fact that there is considerable risk with buying from PIs...

I think Jap version HRV is selling quite well now. KM start taking back some market share from PI on this hot model. This few year we will see HRV and Vezel flooded on SG road.

I agree, there are plenty of conservative buyers where ease of purchase, COE and a smooth transaction are paramount.

I don't think they are delivered yet, but you can test drive them on the road now..

If the license plate is old, it can't be the Jap one. And you can tell if it's a Kah issue HRV from the plate.

Yes AD are dictated by car manufacturer where to get their stock, and Singapore AD usually have to take Thai made, so as to justify the cost of manufacturers setting up the factory in Thailand and utilizing the capacity of the plant, no point building plants in Thailand and all neighboring countries still buy MIJ.

I'm curious, then why does honda allow km to bring mij now?

I guess if the MIT HRV cannot sell as much and the PI MIJ vezel outsell the hrv by thousands.

As Honda what will you do to help your AD?

Continue to sell MIT HRV?

Or stop selling the MIT HRV?

Or fight back? :)
