Well, I've decided to trade in my trusty 1st Gen Mazda3 for a new Mazda6 over the weekend. Should be getting the car this week after my 1 bid.

I must say I'm looking forward to it.

I got the LX. 2k more. As for the bumpiness, just have to check the tyre pressure. One bro commented earlier that due to shipment from overseas, they will pump the tyre pressure till around 260-280. Ideal pressure is 210-220. Just release the pressure and it will solve the problem. Remember to do it before driving for a long distance. Heat will cause the actual tyre pressure to increase.

Anyway I asked for window film and front car cam. I did not ask for a change of rim or others as I requested for a further discount of $700.

good discount, plus you managed to get them to throw in film and front cam.

i see the price quoted on honda kah motors for lx at 114,999. v close to PI prices leh.. comparing the LX to S model about 110k minus minor features. not bad if one feels uncomfortable with PI.

the noise is terrible esp when there is a motorbike is beside you. i will automatically check if my windows are completely closed, alas, they are but still so noisy. :(

hw to insulate, adds more weight then consumes more fuel.

I added door seals to all the 4 doors, can feel the difference in noise reduction.

But you will need to exert more force to close the doors due to the additional seals installed.

It will make the car cabin more "air-tight", less noise intrusion from the outside.

Tried taking pics before but the seals can't be seen as my car also in dark colour.

You can contact this guy in carousell for more info. If you examine closely on the factory door seals on all the 4 doors, it didn't go a full complete round the doors.

Else just give us more time and soon we will get used to the noise, can't expect much from a bnb car lah.

so far I haven't come across the CEVS value for RS model (non hybrid). Anyone knows?

I guess it is still $5000 as there are no change in the engine?

The glass used is quite thin so there's a limit to how well you can control the NVH.

There's no way we can get the Merc or Audi kind of door thump.

Sound proofing will not be anywhere near Lexus levels.

Like my old FD, I feel like I am really in an open air car so I guess I am not too fussed.

Will be more of an issue if one comes to the HRV from a conti luxury car.

Walked into Kah today and the demo car's gearshift leather is already wearing out...

Woah you spotted my car :)

Nice car bro..

Please share what freebies you got?

Is the door visor included?

I saw the US models have a nice chrome kickplate.. you can stand on it at the rear door section.. and there are also chrome scruff plates on the boot sill.

Had some free time over lunch, so I popped into Kah..

Sat in both the Civic and the HRV.

The quality of the plastics are a world apart.. the civic will appeal to certain fans, but you can't deny the Jap build quality in the HRV. And it's such a well thought out car, with switches, storage and even armrests all at the right positions.

Sure, the Audi 3, or Golf will have much better tactile soft material, but the HRV is no slum. Amazing legroom.

Just wish it had a nice higher power engine.. but if they transplant the 1.5t from the Civic or Jade, they will be stealing sales from their own fleet.

The new color schemes are also quite nice, the Bronze and Red stand out.

I have already seen quite a few Lion City cars on the road, along with the Attrage and Axio... 800 COEs worth of new cars..
