  1. When I accelerate my Lancer up to and beyond 80km/h, the "womming" noise can be heard from the front & seem to be from the engine compartment. When the speed reach 100km/h & beyond, the noise get louder. Can anyone enlighten me on what could be the problem with my car. Thanks
  2. As above... thanks
  3. Date - today Time - just now Background - feeling down, thus travel leisurely along KJE towards BKE. Was cruising @ 80km/h in centre lane with a M'sia Wira, 2 vans in front. No way to speed up unless overtake. Right lane was clear. Incident - Think was not far after coming into KJE from PIE, did not notice where it came from but the moment I noticed there was a grey Sienta (SFE9***X) right behind me (mind you I was in centre lane). I can only see 1/2 of his headlamp, the next moment the driver HI-BEAM me ... I was puzzled, thought could it be someone I know ? The Sienta overtook me, while at side I looked at the driver, he gesture me with a "WTF" hand-signal & face ... I was like "huh ?" ... if it was an accidental triggering of hi-beam, his expression won't be like this right ? ... I took the right lane behind him and flashed, hand signalling "why?", he tapped brake before moved on. I was really down today, thus I cut back to centre lane and continue my journey. Question - What could I have done wrong ? Drove a far less superior car than a Sienta ? Drove too slowly where cars are in front ? Should I cut to left lane to let it pass me ? If this dear Sienta driver frequent this forum, please clear my doubt.

  7. I have a problem after sending my car for exterior spray-painting. When traveling above 80km/h. Noise from the windscreen could be heard. Initially it sounded as though some bees or hornets were flying on the windscreen, flapping their wings rigorously. One week later, the noise turned high-pitched and sounded as though someone was blowing a sweet wrapper on his lips. I am quite certain it is due to some unsealed leakage from the windscreen. I went back to the shop and fed-back the issue but the mechanic told me they did not dismantle the windscreen during the exterior spray-painting. They then did a stationary check spraying water on my car and insisted it is due to the hardened rubber seal on my door. I know mine is an old car (1991 Nissan Presea), with some pre-existing leakage on the rimless windows, but all this while I have not experienced any noise from these pre-existing minor leakages. I am certain it is from the windscreen. They may not have removed it during the spray-painting process, but I think the leakage could have occurred during the high-temperature curing process. The temperature gradient could have caused some parts of the original seal to be broken. Can someone please kindly advise a way to solve this noise problem? Can I just apply a silicone seal along the edges as I can
