Moscow Police Confiscate Realistic Batmobile Because It Didn’t Have A License Plate source: https://mustsharenews.com/moscow-confiscate-batmobile/ Moscow Police Confiscate Local Batman’s Batmobile Because It Had No License Plate Before the days of Marvel’s Avengers movie franchise taking the world by storm, everyone loved Batman. He was the dark, he was the night, he was, Batman. This guy in Moscow has clearly stayed loyal to the controversial vigilante. He was evidently a committed fan, and even got himself a custom Batmobile so he could cruise the streets of Gotham Central Moscow in style. Sadly, the sleek sports car was confiscated last Saturday (22 Feb) night by Moscow police after as it did not adhere to road safety regulations. Batmobile defied road safety regulations According to BBC, the vehicle was seized by the police for a number of reasons regarding its build. For one, the Batmobile was “not manufactured within factory conditions”, and uncertified by authorities. Additionally, it had never been deemed roadworthy and was also an unregistered vehicle. The traffic police reportedly speculate that the car is not likely to be roadworthy, as it is overweight and oversized. Car was custom built in US and listed in Russia South China Morning Post (SCMP) reports that the car was built in the United States of America, and further customised at an auto shop in Russia called Fast Boom Pro. The car is allegedly 6 metres long, which is absurdly oversized for an ordinary car. For comparison, the Honda Odyssey MPV is roughly 5.16 metres long. The Batmobile seems to be a replica of the Dark Knight’s vehicle from the 2016 movie —Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice. Here’s the Batmobile from the movie: And here’s the confiscated car: Props to the auto shop for the amazing customisation job. Unfortunately, authorities decided that the vehicle “exceeded acceptable norms”, hence why it was confiscated, reports the BBC. Man faces heavy fines if he wants his car back The car’s owner, a 32-year-old Moscow resident, is allegedly being investigated for three different charges for the car’s irregular shape, it’s excessive size and weight and it’s lack of registry, reported the BBC. Apparently, a similar car was listed in Russia last October, for around S$1,169,000 (55 million Roubles). The car was listed with features that sound a lot like the real Batmobile’s. It reportedly had a night vision camera, a laser-aiming device and even a gun that mimicked gunshots. Wait a minute — Batman doesn’t use guns? Apart from that minute detail, the car is insanely cool, but this Batman fan would likely have to pay a heavy fine if he wants his vehicle back. Road safety is important We encourage everyone to live your best life and do what you want, because YOLO, right? Still, road safety is important because other people are at risk too. Maybe this guy can consider a scaled-down version of the Batmobile. Perhaps a Bugatti La Voiture Noire would suffice? It costs approximately 26 million Singapore Dollars (US$18.7 million), but we’re sure he’d much rather spend his money on a supercar than fines.

A truly unique and bespoke vehicle visits Jay Leno's garage
Akram_saheed posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydtGew7bWuw Avid car collector and self-confessed automotive gear head, Jay Leno, recently had the opportunity to test drive a really unique and bespoke vehicle - which most could only dream of. Anyone who wasn't born a minute ago would be familiar with a vehicle that has made several appearances in various films - the Batmobile. The 'Keaton' Batmobile from the hit film, Batman and Batman Returns, directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton was what got me into cars. To me it is still the most iconic vehicle of Hollywood, even ahead of the Austin Mini’s from The Italian Job, the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor limo-style endloader or the DeLorean from Back to The Future, among others. I was four and I still have a faint memory of watching it at the Capitol Theatre and till date, it is still my favourite. It was unlike anything I have seen before. It was futuristic, sleek and to be honest I find it sexier than Michelle Pfeiffer in latex. It barely had lights, had a fictional aircraft engine, an afterburner and that tail which pretty much look like angle wings but in a more gothic fashion a symbolism for silent guardian angel maybe? Thankfully I had an opportunity to see it in its entirety when I visited Warner Bros theme park in Brisbane. When Joel Schumacher took over, there were two different Batmobiles for Batman Returns and Batman & Robin. While the 'Kilmer' Batmobile was still bearable the fins looked ridiculous it had a stupid face and it had a skeleton like design. It looks like a piranha on wheels. The Batmobile from Batman & Robin's looks so bad, I don’t even want to talk about it. After an absence of eight years in the silver screen, Batman was rebooted in the hands of Christopher Nolan - and among things we got a new Batmobile, and even a backstory. I have to admit, my initial reaction to first teaser picture of The Tumbler was not very positive. It looked funny, had no front axle, didn't look as sleek as anything as the previous ones and wasn't really flashy or attractive. Then I thought why it would work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJB3hqUsHDE Batman is not about a fashion statement, he is a vigilante, a guy in an outfit fighting crime. He needs the muscle, firepower and speed to get things done quickly and it doesn't have to look pretty. And it does have to look a little provoking – to announce his arrival – and to pancake cop cars in the evening news. Function over fashion.-

Are you a fan of Batman? If so, I believe you have watched the movie 'The Dark Knight Rises', just like I have. Well, in that case, you should be able to recall that there's a vehicle known as the 'Tumbler'. The Tumbler was born as a result of Christopher Nolan, the movie director, wanting something that would look more real, unlike the earlier Batmobiles featured in the movie series. The result was quite an appealing vehicle. Honestly, if only I had the money, I would have ordered one for myself, too! But well, you see, not everyone has such a nice and wealthy life as Bruce Wayne does. Nonetheless, Team Galag - which is participating in this year's Gumball 3000 Rally - has one that looks just like the Tumbler belonging to the superhero most of us have come to love. Team Galag's Tumbler had already been seen 'eating' tarmac, potentially preparing to compete in the rally which is coming to its 15th anniversary. This real life Batmobile counts on a 6.2-litre V8 engine but weighing 2.5 tonnes in total, I won't be surprised to see the Tumbler topping its speed at only 161km/h. Well, it seems that the Batmobile isn't really made for racing, after all. Tumbler - The making of

Being the co-founder of the world's biggest search engine definitely has the potential to give you the financial freedom beyond your imagination. This is what happened to Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google. As a matter of fact, he should even be able to afford a whole country - though probably not a big one - thanks to his net wealth of around $23 billion. This American scientist - who was actually born in the Soviet Union - also co-owns two units of private jets, complete with NASA equipment on them. He co-owns those jets with the Google founder himself, Larry Page. Yet, what attracts us more this time is Brin's Tesla Model S. Taking into account that Brin is an early investor in the automaker that builds the car and that he also believes strongly in renewable energy, there's no wonder Brin owns the aforementioned car. However, what we do wonder is why Brin would cover his car in pink - he's not Katie Price. Well, it's not that only Katie may own pink covered cars. You know, she's famous for her pink cars, one of which is her pink Range Rover. As it turned out, it was Google staffs that converted Brin's Tesla into a Batmobile of some sort. The car has a Batman logo on it in addition to protruding Batman rear wings and some long eyelashes for the headlamps. Google Chrome logo can also be seen on the weird looking set of rims. The staffs at Google did that to play an April Fool's Day joke on their boss. Fortunately, Brin took the humour in a good way. In fact, he even took the car for a spin! Well, it seems like Brin is quite a humourous person. But that joke would damage Brin's car, wouldn't it? Well, fortunately, the pranksters only used pink vinyl instead of paint to cover the car in pink. With that being said, there is nothing for Brin to worry about as the damage is not permanent and is easy to revert as well. The pranksters also mentioned that they chose Batmobile because they worked at Google's 'X' project division and that they, at Google, often thought of the division as a 'bat cave'. For your information, the Google's 'X' project division is the division in charge of Google's most visionary ideas and products, one example of which is the Google Glass. What a joke at Google it is!

Parking attendants. Love 'em (Ha!) or hate 'em they're always there and they were there last night. Waiting in the shadows for an unsuspecting owner like me to leave his car so they can plant their revolting white paper slips on my windshield. Last night was the second time this month that these 'educators' have imparted a lesson onto a new car owner like me. Unfortunately, the 'tuition fee' last night was much higher than the lesson was worth. Seriously though, I truly suspect that these parking attendants spend part of their probation training with the Commandos or Navy SEALs. They appear when you least expect it and they slip away so quietly you'll never know they were there and leaving only their white slips behind. In all honesty, I didn't know that just stepping out for a short trip to the loo would levy such a heavy fine on me. I admit that it was negligence on my part but that doesn't make the lesson any less painful. Just two weeks ago, I got a parking fine for leaving my car in a public carpark on a Sunday. Who would've thought that there wasn't free parking in that area? Again, yes I could've checked the parking notice at the carpark's entrance... I guess I'll just have to accept these little 'lessons' as part and parcel of motoring in Singapore (or any other urbanised metropolis) for a new car owner. You know what? If I combined all the parking fines I've gotten this month (which is two), I would've afforded another one of my precision built model cars. Crazy isn't it? Sometimes I wish my car came with an option list that includes anti-personnel equipment like tasers, trank darts or even pepperspray as an option to deter parking attendants from ever getting too close. I'm sure if the Batmobile were real, no parking attendant would ever get close enough to plant a ticket. If and when he actually manages to plant a ticket, it'll probably be his last. Considering that he would either be machine-gunned or tasered to death. Ah...what a world it'll be! To have parking attendants turned crispy for planting one on your car....one can only fantasise...
