  1. Normally size use term 'ET', how to know whether positive or negative offset? Is stock wheel normally positive?
  2. Is there any workshop in Singapore that is capable of doing 1/2(?) (1/10?) of what these guys do? Thinking of "revamping" a 20 year old car into something comfortable (not extravagant). Don't need the bling bling or the skull paint jobs. Thank you!
  3. Hi all, I find signing up for directasia car insurance easy, agent free and hassle free. Been with them for last year. Now I'm not always around in SG so wanted to find an equivalent where I can do the same thing in the internet and compare prices. Is there another one in SG? Please advise and Thank you very much. Regards,
  4. Hi all, Need help to find this Kumho tyre - KU36 - 225/45 R17. Currently on 215/45 R17 as there was no stock for the 225. Seems quite hard to find any shops selling this size for this brand since last year. Also appreciate any recommendation for any other tyres similar to KU36 for wear rate and grip. Noise not an issue. Price preferably below $250 per piece for size 225/45 R17. Thanks!
  5. Hi Bros, Couldn't find any opinions on the above. Since such mats are quite ex, (at least $60), why reason for replacing the original car mats to these aftermarket mats?
  6. Hi guys, I am currently on Hankook V8RS(actually V2 Blackbird cos mine is 15") and very happy with the grip both in the wet and dry. They are almost due for replacement and I'll be happy to get a 2nd set of V8RS. Unfortunately it is not available anymore and Robert quoted me K415 as the replacement. The quote was very attractive with the special discount at the moment. For those who were previously on V8RS and now using K415, appreciate your comments on the latter. Some concerns here: V8RS is VR rated whilst K415 is HR rated. I usually don't speed on the straights but i like to take bends and corners faster than other drivers :) V8RS has rim protector but K415 dont. Not a major concern but a good to have. I was previously on GR80 but it was no where near V8 in terms of grip...especially in the wet. Considering to go back to this tyre but too bad it is also EOL like V8. Any other rubbers to recommend?
  7. Any IT gurus here know of any commercial email software that is equivalent to Microsoft Exchange in term of features and functions and is affordable. Thank you very much. Regards,
  8. Ok, 1stly we should all give due respect to those really old drivers on the roads. However, I do find them slow in responses when come to changing lane, can't drive within lane, road hogging and etc. Hence, I would suggest that we accord them with a S plate that they must display promiently on their windscreens so that we can watchout for them. I probably want to siam them from far . Regards,
  9. 1. Ok, this one was extracted from another discussion thread and was based on BT 18/4. 2. "Parallel imports (PI) are the equivalent of pirated CDs, declares Teo Hock Seng, managing director of Komoco Motors. This is despite the fact that there are no parallel imports of Hyundai cars, of which Komoco is an authorised distributor. 'Parallel imports affect everybody because of their pricing,' says Mr Teo. But more importantly, he is concerned that buyers of PI cars have no recourse because of the lack of warranty on the product and a possible credibility issue with the seller. As a result, safety standards could be compromised and this is dangerous. 'Parallel importers have no warranty costs and no obligations to the buyer,' says Mr Teo, adding that they don't have high overhead costs either. 'I am so irritated that I am thinking of going into the PI business too.' 'PIs affect everybody because of their pricing,' explains Mr Teo. 'The high brand equity of the Japanese makes, at the same price as a Korean car, is eating into my market.' What do you think? Regards,
  10. dear Kia enthusiasts, I wonder where can stuff for my kia picanto done like - lightened flywheel, race clutch, BBTB, lightweight pulley, stainless steel header... and so on? It may be based on a 1.1 Getz engine, but I'm afraid it still might be different.
  11. I heard that a SE from hyundai earn 3% or 1.5k - 2+k for each matrix sold. on top of the basic they earn every month. Wow thats alot.... Wonder what Redeel aka eric get for each focus or laser he sold
  12. Read in a 244 GL manual (1980 model) which calls for ATF Type F or G. In today's terms, what is this? Is it equivalent to Dexron IID? Or perhaps equivalent to Dexron IID's predecessor?
