If you have a cat B MPV now, and is itchy backside to change to another one, cat A MPVs sure look very attractive now. The difference between the 2 category has widened to 30k, and has pushed those Stream and Wish to 13xk pricepoint, while Touran is only at 107k. And even the humble Carens is now selling at 110k! To recap, just in Feb 2009, the Touran cost 88K while Stream RSZ cost 83K and there are people who shun Touran despite acknowledging the better quality simply because it was more costly. The current phenomenal is possible only because of these 2 cars belonging to different category. And with the difference in cat A and B COE, your cat B used car might be able to fetch 8 to 10k more, depending on car age and model. That will sweeten the deal even more. Like in my case. You could get it even cheaper than the pre-launch price with the increase in trade-in price of cat B car between November last year and now. IMHO, now is really a good time to grab the VW Touran. Cat A COE could rise further, thereby reducing the effect. So better act fast if you are sitting on fence. But my case might not apply to you, so better check all angle before plunging in.

Hi everyone, I suppose that in Singapore since Toyotas are so common, the permeation of VVT-i is also rather extensive. I would like to seek feedback on your opinion on how best can one do to extract the maximum benefits out of VVT-i. That is to say, what kind of driving pattern do you think should be employed on a vehicle with VVT-i technology so supposedly the vehicle will be as fuel frugal as the technology would allow it?
