  1. These impatient pedestrians receive the lesson of a lifetime for dashing across a junction when the traffic light is still red. Last week, a motorcyclist captured the moment when a group of pedestrians decided to abandon the rules of the road for their own. The incident occurred at a junction in Clementi Road, just opposite the Police K9 unit. With the green man signal counting down the last few seconds, the group of pedestrians decided that there was still enough time for them to make the crossing. As they stepped foot on the road, the signal immediately turned red. Instead of backing away, the group assumed that the vehicles on the road would give way to them and proceeded to cross the junction. As the first few individuals reached the other end, an oncoming driver entering the junction stepped on his brakes to avoid a collision. This nearly sent a pedestrian to heaven as he reached out his arms to deflect the vehicle. The rest of the group immediately dashed to safety while those behind him raised their hands in an awkward apology. The video ended with the motorcyclist riding off after the whole group had jaywalked across the crossing. Another incident Earlier that week, another similar incident involving an entitled jogger occurred. In this video, the cam car and another driver were waiting at a junction for the red light signal to turn green. As the lights changed for the drivers, a half-naked jogger suddenly dashed across the junction with his arm raised out. The other driver drove off, nearly hitting the smug, entitled man, while the cam car stopped briefly. The cam car driver posted the video with the description 'Self-entitled, heck care attitude jogger failed to observe traffic rules and ran across the road on red man causing inconvenience to drivers, that had to stop just for him.' Netizens' reactions For the first incident, several netizens were quick to criticise the pedestrians' actions while some provided explanations for their impulsive behaviour. Sadly, that's the reality of driving in Singapore. Well said! There's no point in rushing for the last bus when it almost cost you your life. For the second incident, netizens unanimously agreed that the jogger was at fault and should not have continued running across the street to keep his momentum going. The irony is real. Yep! Just because you're a pedestrian doesn't mean that you have the right to command vehicles to stop for you while you illegally run across the street. ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. I wonder if anyone has had this experience? (please merge this if it's been discussed) I had a good friend who was forced to move.. and I do agree we need more enforcement on this.. when I come home, I want peace and calm, not war... (unless you are @jamesc with his MIL)... https://www.straitstimes.com/opinion/do-more-to-help-those-who-live-with-bad-neighbours https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/neighbour-from-hell-drove-6-families-away Is anyone here affected directly? (not that you want to share - in case you are trying to sell )
  3. dear bros and tai-gors out there I have my Cruze 1.6 LS (A) for a year now. And I am still clueless how to get rid of this buzzing noise coming from the seatbelt compartment (near driver’s right ear, where we grab the seatbelt). It is not there all the time, it is getting worse now. Being there most of the time. It can get worse triggered by songs with heavy bass (no kidding). It is not sound in my head (tested by other drivers). It sounds like friction to the seatbelt inside the compartment. Rubbing the seatbelt with by rough fingers can generate a similar buzzing noise. No way to stop it when it happened. It comes and go. It sometimes happen even when car not moving but only engine started. It is notice-able even with radio on because it is close to my right ear. The one on the passenger side has the same issue, not as noticeable because it is far from my ears. From the previous visits to Chevrolet center, test drive with the technician has failed to ‘simulate’ the buzzing noise. The technicians claimed they have opened up the seatbelt compartment but found nothing abnormal or faulty. Please let me know if anyone faced this similar issue and recommend me with the possible root cause and solution. Thank you very very much in advance Rocki
  4. Can report them? I thought I've read or heard somewhere that there are new regulations to regulate them? Or is it only for specific trade or segment? Getting more and more of these recently, and how nice of them to offer a Unsubscribe option for me when I never even subscribe to them.
  5. I use star hub at home to surf net. Now starhub always has the Banner on top of each new webpage. Knn, it's not compatible with my ipad. It cause misalignment and when I tap on webpages, say to key in Password, the webpage does not recognize the tapping position. I need to delete the star hub banner, in order to make good the misalignment. The topmleft most 'X' to remove the star hub banner is so tiny on the iPad screen. And most time while trying to remove the banner, my fat finger will instead tap on the star hub banner, and get redirected to the star hub page!!! Anyone on iPad using starhub, face this issue too?
  6. I mean i can sort of understand when they say a Vaio P is a "netbook" even though Sony says otherwise but a MacBook Air? This is quite ridiculous
  7. I think "Solutions" and "Hub" are overused words. I also don't like "revert" and "in the loop" "Thinking out of the box" may have sounded creative last time but nowadays it is an unimaginative and boring term used by unimaginative and boring people. "Hit the ground running" sounds fine if we are D-Day commandos. When used in the office, it is over dramatic. "Touch base" is the ultimate for me. When say want to touch base, I am very tempted to reply that I love to make the connection.
  8. OMG, I'm trying to seach for some answers and i have to click on every damn post to be able to see what someone has said..... I'm really really annoyed by whoever thought this would be a good idea......
  9. Nowadays, do you all notice that those van n lorry drivers are getting bolder? You'll see them using lane 1 to overtake vehicles, out of 4 lane, you see 3 lanes full of lorry and vans and worst off, driving on lane 1 like he owns it. No thanks to the garment for increasing their speed limits and allowing them to go on lane 2. Maybe it's part of their fine plan to mess up the highway and have the excuess to up more erp gantry. They don't pay as much road tax as me but they sure get to use as much of the road as me. Not fair man.... Just wondering why tp are not eying them like they eye us for speeding. Hiaz....
  10. I dunno was it me or what but lately I kept seeing those new Silver KIA speeding down 60 kph road in excess of 80 kph. Some zig zag like zng cars. The day before saw one racing with a Latio down PIE like too fast too furious siah! I already doing 100 he still can cut like nobody business.. I think Taxi have too powerful engines liao. Should give them 660cc I think enough to get you from point A to B safely. What's the point of having a fast and powerful taxi but can't get one when you need?
