  1. https://drivetribe.com/p/brabus-gave-the-mercedes-amg-gle-RfPPwhpyRj2aYZo3LKAQbg?iid=aATi4qGGToS49P3nt4adOA The AMG GLE 63 S is the latest Mercedes to receive the Brabus treatment and as you'd expect, they've overdone it. But then again that's what makes Brabus... Brabus. As standard, the twin-turbo, 4.0-litre V8 that powers it produces a yawning 612 hp and 626 lb-ft and Brabus decided to make things spicier by fitting a larger compressor unit, bringing the power output up 800 hp (+188 hp) and 737 lb-ft of torque (+111 lb-ft), which means the Brabus GLE does 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds. Unfortunately, the top speed is limited... to 174 mph. From a cosmetic point of view, the Brabus GLE looks a bit more aggressive than the standard GLE AMG thanks to exposed-carbon 'aerodynamic-enhancement' and massive 23-inch or 24-inch wheels, compatible with Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA tyres. They've also given it a new exhaust system in carbo-titanium, which contributes to the aesthetic improvements but, more to the point, it makes it sound better. Especially in 'Sport' mode. There's also a new front fascia, a new front grille, tailor made air deflectors and air intakes, a new rear spoiler and extended wheel arches. All of these components are made from carbon fibre and can be painted either with a high-gloss or matte finish. The interior is upholstered in leather and Alcantara and is available in virtually any colour or finish (same as the exterior, apart from the carbon fibre bits). Brabus hasn't said anything about pricing but the factory AMG GLE 63 starts at around $116,000 in the US and £100,000 in the UK so the Brabus model won't come cheap.
  2. Brabus' Ultimate E 2020 Is a $53k USD Electric Pocket Rocket source: https://hypebeast.com/2020/4/brabus-ultimate-e-smart-eq-fortwo-cabrio-tuned-city-car-electric-2020-first-look Automotive tuner Brabus has given its Smart EQ ForTwo Cabrio-based model, the Ultimate E, a facelift and revision for 2020. In 2019, the model was dubbed the first-ever performance-tuned electric car. Its latest iteration packs the same amount of power, producing 92 HP, which propels the two-seater from 0-60 MPH in 10.9 seconds. Brabus’ Ultimate E 2020 will continue onto a top speed of 81 MPH, and is good for 125 km of range. Although these figures are not in-line with Brabus’ usual high-performance models, the car does feature a three-phase synchronous motor to change the dynamics and give a greater sense of speed. A newly calibrated torque control system, as well as four driving settings that range from “Standard” and “Eco” to “Sport” and “Sport+” give the car a “pocket rocket” feel. All of this is accessed via the “Driving Fun Switch,” which when turned to its max setting will give the car a total torque output of 180 Nm. The Ultimate E 2020 also features a redesigned body for 2020, sporting a new WIDESTAR kit that gives more stance and a wider look to the front of the car. There’s also a new set of 18-inch forged wheels, a cockpit that’s covered in luxurious Brabus fine leather, and a new suspension system that has been tuned to cope with the wider track, lower stance and the ultra-flat tires. Take a look at the Brabus Ultimate E 2020 in the gallery above, and inquire for your own on Brabus’ website now. The Ultimate E 2020 retails for €49,449 EUR (approx. $53,400 USD) and will be limited to just 50 units.

  4. The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake goes to the Brabus camp for an extensive upgrade programme which gives a performance and cosmetic update. Brabus have revealed their new handiwork through the CLS Shooting Brake (CLS SB). The German tuners have not only given the trend setting station wagon a usual power boost but also a rather 'modest' cosmetic upgrade. The CLS equipped with the AMG sport package also gets the 'Brabus touch' with a new front spoiler lip, while the CLS 63 AMG is available with an additional front spoiler and fender attachments. The cosmetic kit contains the usual goodies comprising a new front spoiler, front fascia attachments with LED lamps, side skirts and fenders manufactured either from flexible high-grade plastics or carbon fibre. Different models of the CLS SB get varying kit components and power output. AMG sport package equipped CLS receives a striking front spoiler lip that can be further refined with an additional front spoiler and fender attachments. The CLS 250, 350 CDI models and the CLS 350, 500 receive the Brabus front spoiler, front fascia attachments with integrated LED daytime running lights, and sport fenders side skirts with integrated entrance lights. The CLS SB rides on Brabus Monoblock wheels in various sizes, available in six designs. A new suspension option, created in partnership with Bilstein, brings the car closer to the ground by approximately 35mm. The performance kit increases the power output of the CLS 250 CDI by 31bhp and lifts torque figure to 560Nm. The CLS 350 CDI has a raised output of 313bhp in sport mode, propelling the car to a 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The CLS 500 with its own tuning kit, produces 500bhp and 720Nm to hit a top speed of 300 km/h. The CLS 63 AMG can generate 619bhp and 737Nm of torque, good for a century sprint of 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 320 km/h - in a station wagon that's probably as long as a light-sport aircraft. Brabus also offers a stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system with butterfly valve for the CLS 63 that can switch between a quiet 'Coming Home' mode and throaty 'Sport' mode. Exclusive interior design range from custom crafted Mastik leather and Alcantara. Scuff plates with backlit Brabus logo, a speedometer with up to a 400-km/h dial add sporty highlights. Pedals are finished in aluminum components while clear-coated carbon-fibre inlays for dashboard and center console can be finished in any desired colour or wood inlays in any desired colour and grain.
  5. BRABUS has revealed its exclusive tuning program for the second generation Mercedes CLS-Class. Making its world debut at the Geneva Motorshow, the wind tunnel tested kit features a front spoiler mounted to the OE front bumper, restyled air vent with fitted LED daytime running and sport fenders with side gills. The rear end gets a spoiler and a custom fitted lower rear bumper apron to accommodate the four tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust system. The rear update is rounded out with a centrally mounted reflector. Suspension tuning is available at several levels from a set of height lowering sport spring (by 30mm) to a complete suspension upgrade with adjustable dampers all around. CLS models equipped with the semi-active AIRMATIC air suspension system can be lowered by some 35 millimeters with the BRABUS suspension module. BRABUS Monoblock wheels are available in sizes ranging from 8.5Jx17 to 10.5Jx20 in six different designs. Moving on to the performance upgrades, the CLS 250 CDI BlueEfficiency model equipped with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D4 performance kit delivers an additional 31 bhp with a peak torque of 560 Nm. For the CLS 350 CDI BlueEfficiency, BRABUS offers the ECO PowerXtra D6S plug-and-play auxiliary control unit which can be installed in less than 45 minutes. In 'Eco' mode, only peak torque is increased from 620Nm to 690Nm between 1600 to 2400 rpm while maximum power output remains unchanged. In 'Sport' mode, power output is increased to 309bhp @ 3600rpm, in addition to the increased torque. In this setting, the CLS 350 CDI performs the century sprint in just 5.9 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

  7. Brabus has taken to opportunity to launch their widebody version of Mercedes-AMG's gull-winged SLS at the 2010 Essen Motor Show in Germany recently. The car gets a widebody kit called the 'Widestar' and this modification is for those who somehow think that the SLS isn't butch or, shall we say isn't wide enough to create an impact at the local nightspots or at the country clubs. Since the most important addition to the SLS is the body kit, we'll start with this first. The Widestar gets the usual front bumper/spoiler setup, rear bumper/diffuser setup, bootlid spoiler and only slightly wider rear wheel arches with optimized (and larger) air inlets and outlets. It isn't one of those really over the top, super wide body kits like we've seen on some tuned cars. It actually pretty subtle for a 'widebody' kit. Too subtle in my opinion. Anyway, the front inlets and fender outlets are also aerodynamically tuned and tested at Brabus' wind tunnel facility to optimize airflow throughout the car. All of the components mentioned above are made from carbon fiber and customers can opt for a matte or glossy finish for the parts if they do not want to paint the add on parts. But do note that it is only wider at the rear wheel arches as the front fenders and arches are not extended. Only the front fender outlets seem to protrude more than the stock ones giving some illusion of a wider front end. To complement the package even further Brabus gives the Widestar SLS an adjustable suspension that is driver controlled from inside the cabin. Aside from being 30mm lower, the suspension system allows the driver to increase or decrease the ride height as well as harden or soften the damping rates to make the car handle better when needed or ride better when the driver wants some comfort instead. The bespoke system was developed in collaboration with suspension specialists Bilstein. If the customer still feels that this isn't extreme enough, there is an option for stiffer anti roll bars front and rear. To complement and to ensure that the rear wheel sit nicely under the wider arches the rear gets 21inch wheels running rubberband 295/25ZR21 series tires and the fronts get 20inch wheels with 275/30ZR20 tires. The wheels are Brabus specific Monoblock F Platinum Edition and must cost a bomb too. According to Brabus, the alloy wheels are lighter even though they are bigger than the stock versions. The press release also states that the car gets Brabus' titanium sports exhaust system. This system increases the power output by 10bhp giving the SLS 573bhp to play with. The exhaust system is also 12kg lighter. I suppose both of these small improvements would only enable the Widestar SLS to power past a standard SLS by a mere whisker or so.

  9. In recent years, the concept of design cross-overs or collaborations between designers has caught on with car manufacturers in a big way. Thus far, most of the collaborations have been with design houses to release luxury or designer versions of their cars. Mind you, these include all range of cars from the affordable (Levis Chevy; Agnes B Peugeot) to the grossly expensive (Hermes Bugatti). But sometimes luxury isn't quite enough. After all, if you drive an expensive towkay sedan, you are probably a mover and shaker in the industrial or commercial world. Your time is precious and every moment should be spent making millions of dollars more. To fulfill your needs, Brabus has introduced its iBusiness. No, this is not some application you can download off iTunes and no, Brabus is not diversifying into designing iPhone applications. Instead, the iBusiness is a fully Apple-fied Mercedes S600 by Brabus. Liberal doses of Apple's cutting edge products are integrated into the S600 - including iPads, Mac Minis and iPod Touches. Throw in high speed 3G access on the go and it seems that all your business needs are taken care of. Or are they? Considering that Apple products have been slow to jump on the bandwagon for commercial uses and that Windows is still the de facto choice for many multi-nationals, will a couple of iPads really cut it? And wait, if you could afford a chauffeur so that you could make use of the Apple products at the back; wouldn't you already have a Personal Assistant or two? Why would you need business productivity tools integrated into your S600? My take is that Brabus is more intent on creating a mini-heaven for Mac fanboys rather than a serious add-on to the S600 for businessmen. Other than Steve Jobs and his high level executives at Apple, I can't see any businessman shelling out the dough for this one. Brabus should have just called it the iAmARichMacFanBoy or stuck to what they do best - making Mercs go faster.
  10. Brabus has launched their styling, handling as well as a slight performance upgrade for the gullwinged Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. Launched sometime last year, the SLS AMG is designed to be a modern 1950s 300SL Gullwing revival and basically replaced the flamboyant SLR McLaren. In standard Mercedes-AMG form, it already looks very impressive right up to the rear section where it does seem slightly plain looking. However, Brabus being a performance tuner, a very Mercedes specific tuner, means that have added some extra Oomph to the looks of the car in total. The aero package consists of a front lip spoiler that reduces lift on the front axle, air inlet surrounds on the front bumper, air outlet surrounds for the vents, a rear fixed edge of bootlid spoiler (which works with the active rear wing), a rear bumper/diffuser setup that fits a newly designed Brabus quad-tailpipe exhaust system that adds 10bhp to the 563bhp 6.3liter V8 engine. This exhaust system not only adds some power but also reduces weight as it only weighs 12kgs instead of the 20kg stock exhaust system. It also has a cabin operated pneumatic bypass valve so that the sound levels can be controlled by the driver. The handling package consists of a height adjustable suspension that allows the SLS AMG to be lowered by up to 40mm and also has driver controlled damper settings to adjust the ride of the car. Brabus has equipped the SLS AMG with 20-inch alloys in 275/30 ZR20 tires at the front and 22-inch rims with 295/25 ZR21 tires at the rear. Brabus has also customized the interior utilizing leather and alcantara with contrasting stitching, a restyled speedometer, Brabus
  11. We've been showing you guys all those supercars and mental Mercedes but not many sensible cheap cars. So today show to you a photo of the Proton Saga above, which is an affordable car for the masses. Especially during times where the economy is still sluggish, COE prices high and every penny counts. The Saga would offer ample room for 5, a boot to store your shopping from the Carrefour or Giant across the Causeways and good fuel economy. But I think that's it about the Saga. We'll talk about the newest BRABUS instead as it looks a trillion times better looking and we all need to dream a little as reality bites. BRABUS has decided that the new Cabriolet version of the E-class needs to have its 6.1 liter V8 shoe horned into the engine bay. This engine is based on the base Mercedes V8 which BRABUS adds its own internals and fabulously machined cylinder head as well as those horsepower making camshafts. This time the engine is still slightly smaller than Mercedes' AMG 6.2 liter variant used in the AMG variants of Mercedes Benzes. It still makes 462bhp without the help of any forced induction and in a way is like the AMG engine mentioned above. Torque is about 615Nm, of which all of it is available at 3,100rpm. Quite low for a normally aspirated engine. The horses and torques allow the cabriolet to achieve a 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds. Now the fun thing about a cabriolet is that it brings you that freedom of driving with the wind around you. Knowing Mercedes, the cabriolet would be perfectly designed so that the wind does not buffet too much around you or allow those old people (or any people) with wigs, hats or caps to drive without the worry of their 'headpiece' flying into the countryside. So you add this useful fact to the interior that BRABUS has handcrafted for its owners and you can appreciate open top driving in bespoke quilted leather that is plastered throughout the cabin. Yes. Being an E-class Cabriolet, it seats 4 in full comfort. There is no need for the rear occupants to chop of their legs at the knee to fit in the rear like some supposedly 4 seater coupes. It also has a BRABUS designed bodykit with those side fender vents that add an air of aggression to the standard cabriolet. This is obvious, as those who end up BRABUS versions of a Mercedes are usually slightly more flamboyant than the usual Mercedes customer. Now isn't this piece of news better than reading about a Proton Saga?
  12. Any ideas where can I get those rims? Which workplace is highly recommended?
  13. The people from the Middle East are at it again. Remember the posting on the Gemballa Ferrari Enzo where a middle eastern client felt that the Ferrari Enzo wasn't radical enough? Now it seems that the pretty fabulous, limited run twin turbocharged V12 AMG Mercedes SL65 Black isn't radical enough for at least one of them. 670 bhp, 1000 electronically limited Newton meters of torque and a 130 or so kilos lighter, 0-100km/h in 3.8seconds and the 200km/h in 11seconds that the standard SL65 can produce isn't enough. So the quite wealthy chap then decides to bring one to BRABUS so that they can breathe some of their magic unto the SL65 Black and name it the BRABUS VANISH. Vanish into the horizon in a blink of an eye that is. BRABUS adds the usual performance mods; larger turbos, new gearbox, better brakes and the usual air filter and exhaust upgrades make the Vanish produce 800bhp with the same electronically limited 1000Nm of torque. It will produce in excess of 1300Nm but current tire technology does not seem to be able to handle that much of torque. So it gets limited and it is a bit of an anti-climax. But top speed isn't limited like in the standard Black. This one would run to speeds over 321km/h instead of a limited 318km/h. Acceleration times were not published by BRABUS as the car seemed to be fresh out of the factory when this piece of news was released. As for the external details. Matt black seems the way to go for ultra extreme BRABUS' as well as blacked out standard SL65 rims. Aside from this the rest of the car seems to be standard (if such a word could be used) SL65 Black. The interior gets suede alcantara and leather re-trim and some custom 'Vanish' kickplates. BRABUS has not mentioned how many units of the Vanish they will produce but going by their last very limited run V12 E-class sedan with that really ridiculous rear wheel arch covers, I'd have to guess that BRABUS may produce 10 units of the Vanish to have some economics of scale (and of course due to customer interest). Somehow a bottomless money pit is a good thing to have. Taste aside. Source: emercedesbenz.com
  14. Okay, this will be the last Mercedes based posting from me for this month at least. I promise. We end this trilogy of Mercedes tuner related postings with another Geneva Motor Show preview. Brabus has officially launched the coupe version of the EV12. Last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show they previewed the E V12 in the newly launched W212 E Class chassis and they absolutely went bonkers by shoehorning in that 788bhp twin turbocharged V12 engine as well as putting full rear wheel covers on it. Making the car look like a throwback to some 1930s art deco car but only a million times uglier. Now they've done the same with the newly launched E Class coupe with the exception of the rear wheel covers. Which I think is a sensible deletion. Now how do you get 788bhp and 1420Nm of torque from an engine? Well you take the original twin turbo Mercedes engine, bore it out from 5.5 liters to 6.3liters and change almost everything internally from the crankshaft, camshafts as well as cylinder head honing. It includes two custom high-performance headers with integrated turbochargers and four water-to-air intercoolers. The stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts was also custom-tailored for the confined space under the E-Class Coupe. Brabus has their own bespoke ECU to control the engine and even with enough power to take it into orbit it still complies with Euro IV emissions regulations. And that fact makes it Green enough for me. Now while the engine does make 1420Nm of torque, 320nm of them will be made redundant because if all of them gets unleashed at one go that reinforced 5-speed automatic gearbox will not even last one single full acceleration run. So with a bit of an anti-climax, it gets electronically limited to around 1100Nm. The same as any AMG S65 engine. The chassis has been thoroughly reworked with the front designed to reduce lift on the front axle and to provide all the radiators/water to air intercoolers of the V12 with an optimal supply of cooling air. The air outlets on the sides route air away from the heat exchangers. Another design feature is air ducts that provide the front 12 pot brakes (rears are 6 pots by the way) with cooling air that would be essential to slow down this spaceship when it wants to come out from hyperspace. A wider track means better directional stability at high speeds. Because of that Brabus developed special carbon-fiber sport fenders with integrated air vents for the front axle. Special carbon-fiber rear fenders add 60 millimeters to the width of the coupe on the rear axle. The E V12 Coupe runs on 19-inch combination which are 9.5 inches and 10 inches wide and customers can choose from BRABUS Monoblock designs VI, E, Q and S. Tires in size 265/30 ZR 19 are mounted on the front and 285/30 ZR 19 tires on the rear provide optimal traction. Or try to do so as well as they could with that much torque. Like the four door version the Brabus E V12 Coupe sprints from 0

  18. 730 hp / 537 kW, 1,320 Nm and 350 km/h The Mercedes SL-Class is set to continue its long success story after the latest product update. The BRABUS engineers and designers have left no stone unturned to make the roadster even sportier and more exclusive. Equipped with the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo twelve- cylinder twin-turbo engine that delivers 730 hp / 537 kW, the SL 600 turns into the world's most powerful roadster. 0 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and 200 km/h after just 10.9 seconds speak to its prowess as does its top speed electronically limited to 350 km/h. More power by increasing displacement is one of the core philosophies behind the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine. The displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters with the help of a billet steel crankshaft, larger cylinder bore, special pistons and piston rods. The conversion also includes re-machining the cylinder heads and fitting them with special camshafts. The peripherals of the twin-turbo engine also play a large role in the engine's power yield. The BRABUS engineers have also developed a completely new turbocharging system with two larger turbochargers and more efficient intercoolers. Metal catalysts with low back pressure let the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine breathe more freely. Special mapping for engine electronics and on-board diagnostics coordinate perfect interaction of the new components and guarantee an optimal symbiosis of maximum power yield and running smoothness. But that's not all: The engine also offers exemplary clean emissions and excellent fuel efficiency in light of the available power. Like all BRABUS high- performance engines the most powerful engine in the product lineup is lubricated with ARAL Synthetic Oil. The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine offers impressive performance: Rated power output jumps from standard 517 hp / 380 kW at 5,000 rpm to 730 hp / 537 kW at just 5,100 rpm. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 830 Nm to 1,320 Nm, available from 2,100 rpm. Custom engine mapping ensures that peak torque in the car is limited electronically to 1,100 Nm. Performance of the powerful two-seater speaks volumes: With a sprint time of 4.0 seconds from rest to 100 km/h, 10.5 seconds to 200 km/h, 29.5 seconds to 300 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h the BRABUS SV S 12 Biturbo roadster is one of the fastest sports cars in the world. Form and function at the highest level of perfection: The BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement parts are available for all current SL models and give the SL a sporty yet elegant appearance while at the same time providing aerodynamic benefits. At high speeds they reduce lift on the front axle and thus further improve directional stability. For the latest SL generation the BRABUS designers have developed a strikingly styled front fascia whose sophisticated shape reduces lift on the front axle. The large central air inlet further optimizes cooling of engine and front brakes. The high-quality Pur-R-Rim BRABUS front fascia with its four auxiliary headlights is designed to be fastened to the original mounting points and thus simply replaces the production bumper. The BRABUS rocker panels smooth the airstream between the wheel arches and come with a useful extra feature: Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on an inside door handle activates four LED entrance lights on either side of the car. They illuminate the ground next to the vehicle and help to avoid unfortunate missteps in the dark. The BRABUS designer suit for the new SL is rounded out by the BRABUS rear fascia with integrated diffuser. It too was designed to replace the original part and fits precisely in its place. Just as important for a customized look are one-piece or multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock light- alloy wheels that can be mounted on the two-seater in various designs and diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches. The largest possible version for the R 230 series SL features multi- piece BRABUS Monoblock VI, S or E wheels in size 9Jx20 in front with size 255/30 ZR 20 tires. On the rear axle the wheels measure 10.5Jx20 with Pirelli or Yokohama tires in size 305/25 ZR 20. For further improving the incredible handling of the latest SL roadster BRABUS has developed an electronic module for the ABC suspension that lowers the ride height by some 15 millimeters. The BRABUS high-performance brake system handles even extreme stress without any signs of weakness. It features vented and cross-drilled 375x28-mm mega-size discs and 12-piston fixed calipers on the front axle. The rear axle features vented and cross-drilled 355x28-mm discs and six-piston fixed calipers. Luxurious and highly customized interiors are yet another BRABUS specialty. The list of available product ranges from exclusive accessories such as genuine carbon-fiber door sills with illuminated BRABUS logo to ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels with heated rim and shift paddles. Also available is a speedometer with 360-km/h dial and genuine carbon- fiber interior trim in various colors. In addition the company-own upholstery shop creates especially exclusive BRABUS interiors from a combination of especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara.
  19. The world's fastest four-door coupe comes from Brabus and celebrates its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2005 in Frankfurt. This automobile, built in small-series production based on the Mercedes CLS model series, is powered by a 730 bhp 6.3-liter twelve-cylinder twin-turbo engine, that was implanted with almost surgical precision into the engine bay of the four-door. The performance speaks for itself: 0 ?62 mph in 4.0 seconds, 0 ?125 mph in 10.5 seconds, 0 ?186 mph in 29.5 seconds are just as unique as is the electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). At the heart of this new high-performance automobile lies the V12 twin-turbo engine from the SL 600. Brabus fits the engine with a special crankshaft, increases the cylinder bore and installs forged pistons, resulting in a displacement increase to 380 cu in. Further modifications include the optimization of the mixture flow in the intake and outlet manifolds of both cylinder heads as well as the installation of sport camshafts. In addition the Brabus powerplant engineers equip the engine with custom-developed larger turbochargers, more efficient intercoolers and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low back pressure metal catalysts and four tailpipes. Newly programmed engine electronics coordinate all new components perfectly and contribute not only to maximum power yield but also to meeting all current legal emission limits. After the engine conversion, now also available for all Mercedes-Benz 600 and 65 models with twin-turbo V12, the Brabus S V12 S Biturbo engine becomes the most powerful T
  20. Source: Brabus The top-of-the-line BRABUS engine for the new SLK series is the BRABUS 6.1 S increased- displacement engine for the SLK 55, with its power increase of 85 hp / 62 kW. A custom crankshaft with longer stroke, precision-balanced piston rods, larger pistons and an increased cylinder bore result in a displacement increase to 6.1 liters. In addition the three-valve heads of the eight-cylinder are precision-machined and fitted with BRABUS custom camshafts. The installation of BRABUS high-performance metal catalysts and the precise calibration of the engine electronics round out the BRABUS 6.1 S engine conversion. The new increased-displacement engine exhibits exemplary smoothness and environmental friendliness in addition to its excellent performance: Rated power output jumps from standard 360 hp to 445 hp 6000 rpm. Even more important for increased driving fun is the improved elasticity as a result of the increase in torque: The BRABUS 6.1 S engine delivers a peak torque of 469 lb-ft. Performance of the tuned roadster is on a correspondingly high sports car level. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified seven-speed automatic transmission and a custom- developed BRABUS locking differential. The BRABUS SLK 6.1 S catapults to 60 mph from rest in just 4.2 seconds. Top speed is an electronically limited 305 km/h. Sporty yet elegant BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement parts make the roadster even more exciting: The SLK receives a more striking face with the addition of the BRABUS front spoiler and its four auxiliary headlights. The spoiler also reduces lift on the front axle thus further improving directional stability especially a high speeds. The BRABUS side sills give the two-seater a longer, sleeker appearance and offer an additional interesting feature: Pushing a button on the remote control of the vehicle or pulling on a door handle activates entrance lights integrated into the underside of the sills. They illuminate the ground next to the vehicle and make entering and exiting the vehicle in the dark safer. The rear is refined with the low-reaching BRABUS rear apron and the understated BRABUS rear spoiler. BRABUS further emphasizes the classic roadster look with two custom roadster bars, available with highly polished stainless-steel or with silver carbon finish. They replace the production bars of the SLK. BRABUS Monoblock light-alloy wheels also contribute heavily to the sporty appearance of the SLK from Bottrop. They are available in various designs as one-piece or multi-piece rims with 17-, 18- and 19-inch diameters. The attached photos show the new Mercedes SLK with multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock V and VI wheels in sizes 8.5Jx19 in front and 9.5Jx19 on the rear axle. BRABUS recommends high- performance tires from Michelin or Pirelli in sizes 225/35 ZR 19 on the front axle and 255/30 ZR 19 in the rear. An available comfortable BRABUS sport suspension with gas-pressure shocks and linear springs is the perfect match for these sporty low-profile tires. The sport suspension lowers ride height of the two-seater by two to three centimeters. Alternatively BRABUS offers a set of sport springs calibrated to the production shocks. And of course BRABUS offers two high-performance brake systems for the new SLK, too. The largest version features six-piston aluminum fixed calipers and 355-mm vented and slotted discs on the front axle. The rear axle is fitted with 300-mm discs and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers. Special flex steel brake lines provide constantly high brake pressure. Another focal point of refining the new Mercedes SLK is the interior: BRABUS offers an extensive program for the roadster: It includes such attractive accessories as highly polished stainless-steel sill plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, and an ergonomically BRABUS sport steering wheel with a choice of leather/carbon, leather/Alcantara or leather/walnut burl design. Special requests can be satisfied with an exclusive BRABUS fully leather interior crafted from BRABUS Mastik leather.

This high-performance sedan is powered by a 12-cylinder biturbo engine with 640 hp (471 kW). With its electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h it is among the world's fastest automobiles. In fall of 2003 Brabus will start a small-series production run of the four-seater based on the current Mercedes E-Class of the W 211 model series. The new Brabus E V12 follows in the footsteps of its legendary predecessor which opened the door to a new level of power and performance for sporty sedans: The first Brabus E V12 - based on the E-Class of the W 210 model series - gained entry into in the Guinness Book of World Records as the 'fastest sedan in the world' in October of 1996. Its top speed was 330 km/h. 765 ft lbs of Torque The BRABUS E V12 of the model year 2004 is powered by the Brabus SV 12 Biturbo increased-displacement engine, which is implanted with almost surgical precision into the modified engine bay of the E-Class. The displacement of the 12-cylinder biturbo engine, which normally resides in a current Mercedes S600 model, is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters. The increase is facilitated with the installation of a custom-designed one-piece crankshaft, larger diameter pistons, corresponding larger bore and precision-balanced piston rods. The BRABUS engine is further fitted with sport camshafts, precision-machined cylinder heads, a stainless-steel high-performance sport exhaust system with metal catalysts and four exhaust tips as well as newly programmed engine electronics. With these modifications the engine of the BRABUS E V12 delivers a whopping 640 hp (471 kW) at 5,100 rpm and an even more impressive peak torque of 765 ft lbs (1026 Nm) available from just 1,750 rpm. Thus equipped the new BRABUS E V12 delivers performance that places the sedan on a level with the world's fastest sports cars: 4.2 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h, 12.9 seconds for 0 to 200 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h are the performance cornerstones of this exclusive high-performance sedan. Chassis The immense performance also necessitates the use of special tires: Brabus technology partner Michelin supplies the exclusive tires for this car: The multi-piece Brabus Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels in size 8.5Jx19 on the front axle and 9.5Jx19 in back are mounted with Michelin high-performance tires in size 255/35 ZR 19 in front in combination with size 285/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle. The air-sprung suspension of the Brabus E V12 offers a sporty yet comfortable ride. The ride height is lowered by some 20 millimeters compared to the stock car. Brabus sport sway bars contribute to the sporty handling with large safety reserves and high ride comfort. Brabus equips the new E V12 with a custom high-performance brake system. The system is calibrated to match the electro-hydraulic SBC brake system of the E-Class and consists of 375-mm ceramic discs and 12-piston aluminum calipers on the front axle and 6-piston calipers and 355-mm vented and cross-drilled steel discs in the rear. Body / Interior Aerodynamics play an essential role at the extremely high speeds so effortlessly attained by the new Brabus E V12. That's why Brabus conducted extensive wind tunnel testing with the E V12: The brabus front bumper with integrated spoiler and additional carbon lip looks absolutely striking. But that's not all - it also reduces lift on the front axle thus improving directional stability at high speeds. Its aerodynamic counterpart in the rear is the custom-developed Brabus spoiler lip for the trunk lid, which produces downforce at high speeds. Brabus side sills give the exclusive sedan a longer, sleeker appearance. They also offer another interesting feature: Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on the door handles activates entrance lights integrated into the underside of the sills. They illuminate the ground next to the vehicle, making entering an exiting the car safer. The strikingly styled Brabus rear apron rounds out the sporty yet elegant body design of the E V12 harmoniously. A special ambiance is found in the cockpit of the E V12: The four-door comes equipped with an exclusive fully leather interior crafted from a combination of especially soft yet durable Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantara.
  23. Front-Engine/RWD Transmission: 5-Speed Automatic Engine Type: Twin-Turbo V12 Displacement: 6300 cc Horsepower: 640 bhp @ ---- rpm Torque: 757 lb-ft @ 1750 rpm Performance 0-60 mph: 4.3 sec 0-100 mph Brabus - The Brabus SV 12 bi-turbo roadster is a powerful and exclusive super sports car based on the new Mercedes SL 600. The heart of this car is the new BRABUS SV 12 increased-displacement engine, created on the basis of the current twelve-cylinder bi-turbo engine. This engine is also available for the CL 600 coupe and S 600 sedan. Nothing beats replacement except for more displacement and that is just as valid for the new Mercedes SL 600. Reason enough for the BRABUS engineers to develop the BRABUS SV 12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine. Installation of a custom-designed crankshaft milled from one piece, larger diameter pistons and precision-balanced piston rods increase displacement from standard 5.5 to 6.3 liters. The turbocharged V12 is also fitted with a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with less flow resistance and metal catalysts. Custom-programmed engine electronics ensure the flawless interaction of all components. Performance of the BRABUS SV 12 bi-turbo roadster is highly impressive: The BRABUS engine sets new performance standards with 640 hp / 471 kW and a peak torque of 1,026 Nm from 1,750 rpm. Power is transferred via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission that is operated with ARAL high-performance lubricants, as are all BRABUS engines. Performance of the two-seater is equally impressive: 4.3 seconds from rest to 100 km/h, 13.0 seconds to 200 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 310 km/h make the BRABUS SV 12 bi-turbo roadster one of the fastest sports cars in the world. Form and function at the highest level of perfection: The BRABUS aerodynamic- enhancement parts, which are available for all current SL models, create a sporty yet elegant appearance and offer aerodynamic advantages as well. At high speeds they help reduce lift on the front axle thus further improving directional stability. The high-quality Pur-R-Rim BRABUS front apron with four auxiliary headlights is designed to be bolted to the original mounting points, making an exchange for the production bumper fast and easy. The BRABUS side sills create an especially aerodynamically efficient transition between the wheel houses and further offer an additional useful and exciting feature: Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on the door handle activates four LED lights on each side which illuminate the ground on either side of the vehicle, and help prevent an unfortunate step into a hole or puddle hidden in the dark. The BRABUS designer suit for the new SL is rounded out by the BRABUS rear apron with integrated diffuser. With its perfect fit this aerodynamic-enhancement part is also designed to simply replace the production apron. Just as important for a customized appearance are one-piece and multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock light-alloy wheels, which can be mounted on the new roadster in three different designs with 18-, 19- and 20-inch diameters. Largest possible wheels on the SL of the R 230 series are multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock VI wheels in sizes 9Jx20 in front with 255/35 ZR 20 tires, and 10.5Jx20 with 305/25 ZR 20 tires on the rear axle. To further increase the already impressive handling characteristics of the current SL roadster BRABUS developed an electronic module for the ABC suspension, which lowers the ride height by about 15 millimeters. The BRABUS high-performance brake system easily handles even the most extreme braking stress. It features 375 x 36 mm vented and perforated mega disks with 12-piston fixed calipers in front, and vented and perforated 355 x 28 mm disks with six-piston fixed calipers on the rear axle. Unadulterated luxury and individuality in the interior are yet another BRABUS specialty. The list of available exclusive interior options includes sill plates made from genuine carbon with illuminated BRABUS logo, ergonomically shaped safety steering wheels with airbag, steering-wheel shifter and heated rim, a speedometer with 360-km/h scale, and an interior trim kit made from genuine carbon. To upgrade the COMAND system BRABUS offers the integration of a DVD changer and the BRABUS Internet system. The latter is operated with the standard buttons of the COMAND system - no additional equipment is necessary. This innovative new development uses its own Internet platform and the GPRS standard to connect to numerous content providers such as traffic or news services, weather forecasts, hotel reservations, and many other useful online services. To top it all of the company-own upholstery shop creates especially exclusive BRABUS interiors from a combination of especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik and Alcantara leathers.
