  1. Can anyone share stories of the most horrible colleagues you have met? My office is still ok but how do you handle tai chi masters, backstabbers, hot air balloons, prima donnas, blur sotongs and other difficult people at work?
  2. There has been an increase in road works recently.... there was so much digging here n there to lay/maintain underground cables causing lane closures n jams......... but the worst thing is the road reinstatement..... Most were not done properly and caused very bumpy roads..... generally the poor reinstatement are all over the island, but one of the most obvious one i encountered was Somerset rd (near 313)..... ANd there was this HUGE depression when i drive out of prince edward carpark towards ECP city.... To tink that CH 8 just telecast the variety show with Brian Wong working with LTA on the roadworks and showing how they lay the road etc......

  8. Refer Yahoo!News at: http://sg.yahoo.matchmove.com/news/article...ublic-transport This is what I personally detest the most : "One of the most disgusting is sitting with legs wide open as if the balls are too large to breathe while punching, stabbing and poking the smartphones." Why do one have to be seated with legs wide open? Is it an ego thing or because of some problems on the private part? Regards,
  9. Recently my sister got into an accident with an Audi A6. the result was only a minor scratch. however, the driver wanted to change the whole bumper ( he could have just repsrayed). total bill came up to 10k. trust me, when i look at the picture taken. there was no dent at all and even the scratch i cannot see until my sis pointed it out. probably about 1x5cm. My sister's car is covered by D*r*ct *sia . dont know about the other party though. my Bro in law is the insured, and my sis was the NAMED driver. she is 26yrs old with more than 2 years driving experience. at first her insurance wanted to protest the claim by the other party as they consider it excessive claim. so they send an investigator to interview my sister. then suddenly out of the blue, they contact my bro in law to inform him that they will cancel his insurance right from the start and refund the premium paid by my bro in law. Reason they gave was that had they known my sister would be driving more than her husband, they would not have covered the car. i was thinking what kind of a stupid reason was this? trying to escape having to pay for the excessive damage by other party? My bro in law paid a higher premium by putting in my sis as a named driver and this is what he got? MY question is are there any solution for them? i mean this case is freaking ridiculous. suddenly revoking the insurance and leave my bro in law and sis in a limbo. i had a case with another insurance company. there was a mistake in quoting by my agent because i specifically told her that i had no ncd but she told the company i am liable for 10% ncd. the result was just to top up the difference. in no way did the company want to cancel the insurance even though they said had they known i had an accident last yr they would not have offered to cover my vehicle.
  10. http://www.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/Story/A1Story20080311-53909.html Anyone know what is the car in this accident. Poor driver, crush to death. another similar thread: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Which_car_...264744/#2264744
  11. Just took a ride back home from Bedok as I'm not driving today. Hire a SMRT cab off the road and it was really a hell ride. On the way at PIE, that hell rider taxi driver was driving at 120km/h.. not only he tail gate the car infront and also high beam them..OMG.. and say they were driving too slow and blocking his way. The way he overtake car is also power.. i have to hold on to the handle near the door else my butt will start to shift left and right. i kindly told him i not in rush but he just said those car infront to slow.. . Got a few time the car was so near while he overtake i can just simply wind down the windows and reach into the other car cabin. Was really wondering nowadays the cost of insurance fee are rocket high and so much accident are involved with cabbie. Why our CASE only suggest "no fault claim" and don't do something about this group of dangerous cabbie driver. They should also suggest those cabbie driver to apply for insurance and pay the insurance premium like us in order to drive a cab else they can't feel the pain. Understand currently they only need to pay a deposit of $1k but will be forfeited if any accident occur. Anyway who know where and how to report this reckless SMRT taxi driver? anyway he drove a white SMRT taxi and the car plate is SHB1885B . Avoid him at all means!!
  12. My car is hit from the rear. Damage assessment claim part of the damage is not caused by the impact. Workshop happily claim $2.3k for just a bumper and hatch door panel repair at their very best interest (Initial quotation is $350 for the bumper when both party agreed on private settlement). Tell me the rest cannot claim, push me to Insurance company. After days of "We will get the claim officer to get back to you", NTUC Income friendly customer officer finally get back to me. The respond was, "... get the workshop to settle the issue" How nice, all just because the damn workshop had already get my dad (who doesn't know anything about the damages, tell him all repairs are done) to sign the discharge voucher, when I refuse to sign the day before as they are unable to provide me with a proper breakdown of the repair. Anyone had been in the same situation before? How you deal with it? LL suck thumb?
