Pump prices down after going up..

SINGAPORE: Prices at the fuel pumps have come down on Wednesday, just a day after it went up.

 

ExxonMobil is the latest to lower prices, with all grades of petrol and diesel going down by 2 cents a litre from 5.30pm.

 

Caltex, which led the increase on Tuesday, also reduced prices across the board at 4.30pm, in response to what it calls, "competitive local conditions".

 

Pump prices are now down by 2 cents a litre, after going up 5 cents on Tuesday. The latest adjustment followed a move by Shell.

 

Shell raised its prices by 2 cents a litre at 2.30pm on Wednesday after choosing to stay on the sidelines on Tuesday. 95 grade fuel now costs S$1.847 a litre, 98 grade fuel costs S$1.98 a litre, while diesel costs S$1.323.

WTF!!.. well done... up 5c and down 2c with lame reason like "competitive local conditions"... i think they have a typo error.. it should be "cooperative local conditions"...

Oil price back to the original price of 71 bucks which was the price before the hike , why up 5 down 2 ? This is clearly mispricing and abuse of their control of prices.

 

I'm using the prices of brent crude the price they so called followed. Frankly speaking this is b-------t. In can anyone from the various petrol providers come out and tell mr how they price?

Yap becos crude has been hovering arnd $71 for the past 2 days. So basically, we can be assured that when it hits $74 or $75, we will expect another increase of up to 5cents [thumbsup] I muz work for the oil cartels

Yep, very ridiculous! Who do they think they're kidding?! As if we were born yesterday or something! Carpark rates have also gone sky high these days...another cartel??

marketing wise, if i am shell, i will hold the price and pack my stations and leaving other stations to suck thumb and create good rapport with customers. BUT .............
