Eventhough I care less about his/her non-availablity of the driving license, I want to be a socially responsible resident and make this info available to the authorities. My questions to fellow forumers here - please do let me know how /who should be contacted regarding this? Please do not flame me for this - am not being jealous here....am just doing my duty of being a socially responsible resident in Singapore. Mostly every singaporean knows how to provide info to our garment... be it by phone , by mail , by email or through EPC. Btw fyi, the garment will says your ID will be kept confidential but if that person dispute and hire lawyer and go on trail to fight it out with TP, than ... your ID will be expose le.... cause you will have to attend court trail as witness.. By than, you can forget about friendship if he's your friend or if he's your relative... Bro, for this case ... u'll be sending 2 people to jail , why not try advise the "driver" or the Car Owner first than see how lo... , maybe he got lic lao never tell you leh ?? I believe both the unlicensed driver and the owner already know that it is wrong and the penalty involved in going against the law. For some strange reason known only to them, they still persist. If TS tipped off the TP, they must catch him red-handed and to do so they will have to ambush him driving a car and stop him to demand for his driving license. Once he cannot produce one and the record shows that he has no valid driving license, it is good enough for the TP to press charges against him. They dun even need to say in court they have got a tip off. Even if this is the case, I doubt the court will ever press the TP to reveal the source of information. Am sure the police rely a lot on their sources in solving criminal cases and has anyone read about a source being forced to attend court as witness? The police have a duty to protect the identity of the sources otherwise who would want to provide info to them.
