Had a couple of taxis zooming past me when I drove along Mandai after midnight a couple of months ago and I said to my CO

"Seow arhh?? Drive so fast !!"

Dunno whether ghost taxi or not [sweatdrop]

The Star/Asia News Network

MORE than 200 punters went to a Chinese cemetery in Singapore to offer prayers to the deceased and to get lucky numbers in conjunction with the first day of the Hungry Ghost Festival on Tuesday, Sin Chew Daily reported yesterday.

The punters were not fearful even though it was the day when the gates of hell were opened for hungry ghosts to leave.

They brought along prayer items and arrived at the cemetery in groups at night.

The daily reported that based on a Taoist master's advice, many placed prayer items at new graves as the belief is that the recently departed would be able to give numbers.

After praying, punters were seen taking out small papers with numbers written on them.

The daily reported that when they secured a set of four numbers, punters would write them on a piece of red paper to verify if they were given by the deceased.

If they were to win a lottery with the numbers given, punters would return with more prayer items and food to offer to the deceased, the daily reported.

My salute to you for cycling there after midnight.......

The part near to the car park along Mandai Rd where the bus stop is. You might want to sit there to rest and had a good view at the reservior. You might want to look at the tower inside the reservior. If your luck is good, could see a couple crying at the top of the tower.......

That car park, after 2am, no one wants to park there (especially those lovers) .....

Na Beh ... <_<

You machiam si beh seasoned with that place leh ..

You 'Hanky Panky' there with your Lover Boy many times liao until kena something from there si boh [laugh][laugh]

try cycle at mt pleasant road???

[grouphug]

Have not rest there before.. Because that part is all the way downhill slope to upper thomson.

So far never heard or seen anything crying. But heard female-like singing once. I thought it is one of the animals calling. But maybe you are right, may be a ghost.

Nowaday, I am more scared of trees falling on me along that stretch and Upper Thomson.
