Hi,

 

What type of ICE have you install?

 

Can it work with the steering wheel control?

2 way comp + amp + sub. Unable to get it to work with steering remote.

MZ 6 FC got so good meh? 12km/L are quite good le. unlike mine 7~8km/L ahhaa.

We NA u TC, high boost some more. How to have comparable FC <_<

u need to get the PAC SWI module for the steering remote to be used for ur ice..

 

i've gotten mine.. so i can "on" "off" , adjust volume and skip tracks.. etc..

Hi,

 

FC very much depend on ur right foot and if u travel by highway or not.

 

For me, I'm quite light footed. most of the time, the gear will change at ard 2000rpm

 

I see some of my friend always step hard on the gas and brake very hard. To me is waste of money!

i'm driving a fully stocked 06 Mz6 for a year already. initially also thought must be light-footed to achieve good fc. but then gradually realised no matter how light you step, the fc will not come down. so for now, i just step till 3k+ rpm when moving off. no difference on the fc. with this, you don't hog up the traffic tt much too, and get to enjoy the 2.0l engine. maybe you can try tt too bro.. :)

 

another tips is to utilise the cruise control as much as possible. of cos, under the right traffic condition. it shd save fuel as you eliminate the intermittent stepping of the accelerator.

 

i'm averaging 10-10.5km/l all along.. cheers!

The price for a 06 or 07 mazda 6 2.0sp still looks rather attractive in the current market. How is the car noise, harshness and vibration compared with the other cheaper used car in the same class such as Hyundai Sonata or Nissan Cefiro? Or pricier Camry and Accord?

 

Is $7k annual depreciation for this car ok? Thanks for your advice

I think the current shape was introduced in 2008. And this car is much better than the gen 1 model. Stiffer chassis, smoother engine. Not sure of you budget, but early examples of the '08 model is at ~ 70k. Just be careful of the kms. I just noticed that my old car is still being advertised as having done around 30k kms whereas when I sold it, it was 47k kms. Is that even allowed? [laugh]

 

The 2nd gen is decently fast, handling is superb, nice kit inside, ok FC at ~ 9-10km/l, but a bit noisy compared to the other large Jap saloons.

Hi bro, thanks for sharing. The price jump from the old model to the current one is very big, So i'm exploring if a 07 model might suit my need. Also thinking abt sonata which is also quite budget.

 

Currently, I've yet to convince myself i need an upgrade. My humble 1.3l is only depreciating at 4k -extremely wallet friendly. but its not spacious or comfortable enough for that occasional msia trips. I like mazda 6 styling, and im ok with its fc. But, i prefer a quiet car. So, when you shared that its noiser, i abit [:(]

well, u can change to comfort tyre, n do soundproofing....

The soundproofing should help.

 

Or go for Camry or Cefiro which is quiet, comfortable and has a well spec'd interior. But looks wise, I prefer the Mazda as well.

I'm still going back to AD for servicing currently as car is <3 yrs old. A few will point u to JDM, otherwise, Im really not sure of workshops who regularly do mazdas.

City Auto used to be authorised ws for Mazdas, during the 'previous gen'. when i drove my 2nd gen Mz6 they do not seem very familiar with certain stuffs..

Monster Garage specialises in RX8, and are familiar with other Mz models.

i still go to AD Mazda Alexandra anyway..feel more at ease. btw are you driving the 1st or 2nd gen?

"Bread & Butters" models already like that, how can they do up more powerful ones like MPS & RX8?
