I use my i4 without a case, but have a screen protector.Carry it in my pocket with keys ans such,no issue on scratch.I use iPhone not only do I like the design, but I find its the easiest and most intuitive phone to use.....especially for a tech-challenged person like me.(have tried Samsung, found it take a lot of thinking form me,once again I AM a tech-diot!). So that's my story on iPhone.

Adding more salt...

SGSIII has a 4 core CPU running at 1.4GHz. Wow!

A6 is only a dual core running at 1.0GHz.....

But...

But when a s3 from different carrier gives different result, I don't think hardware is the only factor.... anyway, I never 100% trust those test... is just like fc from manufacturer, it's always different from driver to driver....

Depends how those test are designed. They should have a suite of test and not just one or two. If the whole suite of test shows certain phone is great, then there is nothing to doubt about that test.

read that this benchmark is base off US SGS3 which is actually duo core due to LTE.

Anyway what is impressive is this

no point argue with Apple's fans boy. Similar to Android fans boy.

End of the day, it is just a phone, few years later will become history and replaced by latest technology.

it is amused to see how one's mind can be manipulated by a gadget, a company that can create a hype so hugh that ppl are just blindly follow.

Ya, totally agree with this. But u don't see android users behaving in such irrational manner, queuing like nobody business. Somehow apple managed to brainwash their users. Or maybe cos iPhone users are controlled by apple. They have no alternative. So when new model comes out, its like very big deal. Whereas android being open system, got many alternatives between Samsung, Sony, htc, motorola and LG. So not so crazy like iDiots.

ooi... I was the one who posted this video.

... then I added salt....

more salt here...

Android and iOS fragmentation.

http://www.androidauthority.com/ios-6-frag...e-issue-117164/

Apparently, Android users are facing serious fragmentation issue...

Instead of solving their problem... they are hoping iOS to catch up with them but somehow they are disappointed after the release of iOS6.

I actually learned quite a lot over this week end. Quite fun while expanding my knowledge.

No no no... read carefully. It says SGSIII International version. at no 3. but is still taking 50% longer than iPhone5 to load that whatever..

SGSIII At&T takes double time to complete.

But... SGSII with Android 4.1.1 will be faster than iPhone5 with iOS6. But this is akan datang and maybe tak datang at all.

All info is not from Apple hor... they are from Android authority.

Actually you have to understand each type of test to see how it relates. Anyhow, if you look at the same image you posted, you'll realise that of the top 5 results, only the S3 is a quad core. The iphone 5, Evo 4G LTE, and One S are all dual core. The Xolo X900 is a single core CPU. What this shows is how important architecture is. The A6, and the Krait cores in the three dual core phones all sit between the Cortex A9 and the Cortex A15 architectures, while the X900 runs an intel atom (medfield) ^_^ The dual core A15's are already in production and the first few phones with them should be out in the next few months. They'll pretty much blow every existing CPU out of the water.

cannot just look at hardware. the ios just doesn't require that much juice to run.

Probably why an S3 running Android 4.1 Jellybean was faster

http://www.chiphazard.com/2012/09/22/galax...rison-was-fake/

Take the linked article with a pinch of salt. As much as I do like geekbench (and find it odd that the S3 runs faster with JB than ICS for what is essentially a cross platform CPU test- maybe its due to the better CPU management of JB over ICS), results will vary slightly with each test, even if the same device is used.

You tried CM10 already? Nowadays the benchmark that i only really pay attention to is Sunspider Javascript.

Bro..I use the iphone without a case. Infact, even without any screen protector.

The reason is, I carry the iphone is my pants pocket. With a case, it's just too thick to sit down with it. And sometimes my pcokets will have coins and so on. Not a scratch.

I think end of the day, it's not a fanboy or not fanboy thing. When comes to built quality, the iphone looks like it was designed by some Swiss watchmakers. The iphone 5 that I saw recently has some amazing fit and finish that if I didnt know Foxconn, I would have thought it was manufactured in US.

Some people appreciate features, and never mind built. Some people like to appreciate built and never mind features because they don't use those features. Putting price aside, it's like some people will never buy Casio even though it is very utility.

i owned the 4S and without cover though with screen protector for few days, it scratches damn alot

Just a question though. With a big screen like the Samsung S3, how do you guys carry such a big phone around? Holding it in your hands wherever you go? For the ladies, they put it in their handbags, so no issue, but for men, how do you bring the phone around?

The first generation mobile phone is as big as a brick. Then they make it small to a size of a card with clamshell or slidable screen so that pple can put it into their pockets. Now, seems like everyone wants to make them big again. But how do you carry them around?

it fit well in my jean, definitely nvr feel jean pocket too small though i wear skinny jean and bigger screen are easier to read than iphone 4
