Cannot lah, I have crappy eyes to start with....high mypopia with astigmatism.....now with presbyopia.... You'll need a good optician to fix good glasses, regardless of brand. I like kwong shin at bras brasah complex. My last few pairs are done there. Very good service but go off peak hours if you don't want to wait too long. Carbon82 Moderator May 2, 2019 Share May 2, 2019 I got my reading glass from Owndays too. 1st pair (left) is exactly 2 years old and still good for me till date. Just got the other pair (right) as spare yesterday, as I have left my glasses in office on a few occasions... (seems like not only my eyesight is deteriorating ) The 1st pair (presbyopia only) with light weight air frame and coated lenses to block blue light from computer display costed me $298 ($198 for frame + standard lenses, and other $100 for the yellow coating). The 2nd pair (presbyopia + astigmatism) with thicker frame costed me just $49 (usual price $98 with lenses), with the ongoing promotion (my son got a pair for his training needs, so I tagged along to enjoy the 50% discount). Overall, their frame + lenses set cost between $98 - $198. Progressive, coated, transition lenses, etc. cost $100 extra IIRC.
Karoon Turbocharged September 12, 2020 Share September 12, 2020 Anyone tried buying spectacles online? Just provide them your lens specs and choose frame and you get to redo if lens don't fit. Sounds great on paper but not sure if it works. Lots of such online options in sg now.

Be careful online they cannot adjust you focal point cause they don't see you might come back cannot use.
Count-Bracula Twincharged April 15, 2021 Share April 15, 2021 (edited) Damn coating on my lenses started to wear off and have patches on my glasses. Went back to shop and bang table but salesperson said "oh, your one year warranty over ... Nothing I can do" (past warranty period by one month). Never going to believe their BS on lens coating anymore, dunno what this one that one ... TMD! Cannot wash glasses with soap, must wipe with cloth provided and all the blah blah blah. Last few spectacles made at P*n P*n Optical did not have this kind of problem with coating wearing off, even after washing daily with soap and wiping on t-shirts, towels. Any good and reliable shop to recommend, please? Oohh? P*n P*n Optical still around. Must go check out maybe next week but a bit far from my place. Why the TV cannot break down even ONE DAY before warranty ends? The QC must be very good.

Replaced twice by the neighbourhood shop. Probably a particulate batch had bad QC.

Fcw75 Hypersonic April 16, 2021 Share April 16, 2021 (edited) Is it a transition progressive lens? I was quoted $900+ for a high index 1.74 transition progressive lens last year. Think now the price sure go up more. 😑 Edited April 16, 2021 by Fcw75 ↡ Advertisement
