Just call up BM and ask abt this auto fold mirror, you can do this at any BM place which have parts sale door. Cost is abt 100+ a bit

Just did my 1k servicing at Sin Ming last friday. Asked about the auto fold and was informed by the technician that for the 2014 Altis, there is no available module yet. Any installation on the new model is 3rd party installation. hmmmmmm :(

Copied from Post 252

Step #1

Close all the doors.

Make sure your parking brake is on.

Don't do this on an incline especially if your choice requires the car to be shifted into Neutral.

This depends on your key type:

Normal key: Switch ignition to the ON position (2nd position).

Smart key: Turn ignition to the IGNITION ON mode (2nd press of the start button). Do not step on the brakes or your car will start!

REMINDER! Step #2 has to be done within 10 seconds of doing step #1!

Step #Option==============================Shift to=====Door lock switch to

1 Lock immediately when shifting out of Park=======P=============Lock======

2 Unlock immediately when shifting into Park=======P============Unlock=====

3 Lock when vehicle speed is about 20kpn=========N=============Lock=====

4 Unlock based on driver side door===============N============Unlock====

Shift the gear lever to either P or N.

If you're already in the correct shift option, you don't need to change it. So if it says above you need to shift to P, and you're already in P, leave it. Same for N. Of course, if you're in P and need to shift to N, do it (step on the brakes to shift!).

Press the driver side door lock switch to your choice for 5 seconds.

Release after 5 seconds.

If You're Successful

If you're successful, all doors will lock then unlock. This is the signal that the setting has been turned on OR off. Yes this is horrible. The only way to know if the setting is correctly set is to try it out. This is a problem for Option #3 as it means you have to actually drive.

I tried this out but it's not working? hmm went to my car, press the start button twice without stepping on brake, hold door switch at unlock position for 5 secs and release. Am i doing it wrong?

Hi everyone,

Would like to ask if there is a need to run in the engine and for how long. Thanks

For 1st 1000km or so,

- drive gently to warm-up engine from cold start.

- avoid long period of too low or too high rpm

- avoid the sudden flooring of accelerator

- vary driving speed on the expressway

In other words, drive normal.

I remember that someone told me that I need to keep below 80km/h. True?

I order for a standard altis week. Still waiting for for coe.

Hi,

I succeeded after a few tries. For the first few times, it was unsuccessful. I think it's because I tried the sequence from "parked" state when I first got into the car. I was successful after I drove and tried the sequence immediately after parking the car. Do try to keep to the exact timings given. Hope it helps.

I believe faster is ok.

From what I've gathered, the key is to vary the speed - example, if from Changi to Tuas,  avoid driving at constant speed (rpm).

You have to press for 6 seconds then release. This was what a Senior Technician from Borneo Motors told me.

Coukd some one know what is different sport altis standard and altis standard?

The difference is full body kit and spoiler. If I recall correctly, insurance do cover most of the things factory fitted which include bodykit. You have to check with your SE whether the bodykit is factory fitted or local fitted. If local fitted, is the bodykit covered by insurance in case of accident.

I saw a set of tweeters (black color triangle shape for fitting on our front door) for sale at Ubi Service Centre cost about $130. Any brothers here who have bought that item care to do a review. Does the tweeters improve the sound quality.

I did mine with a freelance (he gave me Philips brand), it did improve the sound for me as i can feel the music now comes from the front side too

I also suffered 2 paint chips on my right side passenger door. I believe when you collect your car you are given this book called "Toyota Shine Plus Bodycare Programme". I have checked with the Bodycare people at Pandan. They told me that as long as the paint chips are on the 4 doors, can claiim for respray as shown on page 14. Downtime is 2-3 working days. As the bodywork valid for 12 months from the date of registration, he advise me to send in for respray at the 11th month.

Yap, ignore them for now.

My SE also advise me to do it during the 11th month too.

Been driving my altis for 8 mths already.  Still have not find a way to mirror my iPhone 6S to the car head unit.

Any way to connect iPhone 6S to the  headunit for navigation use?
