oceanicmanta 3rd Gear June 4, 2015 Share June 4, 2015 (edited) There were like 1400+ bids for CatA lower than 50k. No of bids also significantly lower. May suggest not so many new cars sold & backlog clearing or cleared. There were around 900+ bids for CatB at 10.5K - what are they thinking ? tikam tikam ? Seems demand for Cat B still strong with some backlog. Hypothetically, if a AD gave COE Rebate of 67K for Cat A (6 bid non-guaranteed) but said today they did not bid. Or if they said they bidded 65K & out-bidded today. Wonder if these ever happened ? Edited June 4, 2015 by oceanicmanta
Vinljp 1st Gear June 4, 2015 Share June 4, 2015 Open bidding is never a fair game...COE once a upon a time was Close bidding. This is like our famous 3 quotes system during a tender project, except that all the people who tender knows one another's price. Then why bid?... I only managed to see the CAT A COE price result $66,000 at One motoring website and MCF here. ==== Hypothetically, if a AD gave COE Rebate of 67K for Cat A (6 bid non-guaranteed) but said today they did not bid. Wt_know Hypersonic June 4, 2015 Share June 4, 2015 (edited) same old same old ... or shitty news will report COE Cat A crashed $590? lol SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended mostly lower across all categories on Thursday (Jun 4). The cost of a COE in Category A – cars which are 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130 bhp – was S$66,000, down from S$66,590 in the last exercise. The premium for Category B – for larger and more powerful cars – was S$75,000, slightly down from S$75,002. Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but which end up being used mainly for large cars, closed lower at S$75,801 from S$78,001. COEs for commercial vehicles closed at S$50,900, down from S$52,001 in the previous round of bidding. For motorcycles, the premium rose slightly to S$6,509, from S$6,501. The Land Transport Authority said it received 4,657 bids at the end of Jun 4's bidding exercise. There were 3,343 COEs on offer during this round of bidding. all night long ..... *singing* coe is the only true indicator of erection no up means good liao ... dealer say one ... lol Cat B down by only $2 !!!!! What the ..... your AD really out of touch and living in cave ... might as well bid $50k My AD bid 58XXX for my cat A COE even after i agreed to topup 6K last weekend zzz. During successful bid, you can actually see the bidded amount inserted and the secured COE price At the point when number of bids more than quota, the first successful bid was $50k. My point about the COE rebate was to find out if there has been anyone actually benefiting from it or is it just a marketing gimmick ? I know it does give some comfort if COE crash.
