MQX87511 5th Gear October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 If the current outgoing civic is still selling at 120+, I suspect the price of new civic is going to be steep. Highly possible in the 140+ range, similar range with Mz6 2.5, and perhaps 20K lower than Accord. Honestly, at this range, there are many options available. actually in 140+k range, no much value for money sedan option, it even cannot reach conti brands (Audi, B&M, Volvo) low end and entrance level, only can buy some US middle level brands such as Ford focus, Chevrolet Cruz etc, otherwise SUV a lot from Jap/Kor

Ingenius Turbocharged October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 Since when has Honda Civic been priced lower than Altis or Mazda 3 ? It won't happen. Look at the price of Honda Accord compare to Camry and Mazda 6. Honda price is always highest among Jap cars in the same class.

MQX87511 5th Gear October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 (edited) Really sad about the CVT on the turbo model. Even sadder when there is no paddle shifters no choice, want good FC, have to sacrifice fun in future all automakers may go this direction want driving fun, go for Type R, if $$ not issue, Japanese maker exactly segregate sport cars and family cars Edited October 28, 2015 by MQX87511

Baal Supersonic October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 no choice, want good FC, have to sacrifice fun in future all automakers may go this direction Honda is developing a 8DCT. Think its wet. The diff is that for moving off, presumeably for gear 1 only or at most 1 & 2, it will be matched to a torque converter. Then from 2nd or 3rd all the way to 8th, it will be the typical DCT style hydralically operated clutch. This way, it circumvents the jerkiness associated with DCTs when driving in stop & go/crawling traffic, while having the full DCT direct feel, minimal power loss during non-jammy conditions. Problem, its for use with large displacement engines. I read it was for some Acura SUV. 2.4 TC. Thing the engine is coded K24. If its NA engine, probably only for the 3.5 V6 as seen on the previous accord sold in Sg. EarthDReam CVT have 3 specs. 1) Small - ATV, Kei cars, & small cars up to 1000cc. 2) Mid - based on NA spec. for displacement 1.2 to 1.8 litre. 3) Large (by jdm standards) - 2.0 - 2.4 liter NA.

Baal Supersonic October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 That 1litre TC at 127hp falls nicely into out Cat A so I'll be surprised if Kah doesn't bring this in as well though the main model should be the 1.5l TC. So Cat A = Euro spec HB 1.0 TC. Cat B = U.S spec Sedan 1.5 TC. If they have these 2 & priced not too outragously, they have chance to stage a comeback. Baal Supersonic October 28, 2015 Share October 28, 2015 opps im probably too sad and started blabbering rubbish Not necessarily, the paddles do help to make it easier to reach the switchover point at 4k rpm. Especially when its CVT & not AT.

If Kah is serious about regaining the no. 1 spot which they held years back, they have to bring both models in to cater for the borderline buyers (1litre) and the die-hards (1.5litre). Then Altis and Mz3 can stand aside but priced wrongly and it will be a nail into their coffin!!
