I think some questions they do not expect honest answers. [laugh]

They are probably looking at bullsh1ting skills, diplomacy skills, etc.

Normally I will tell the hr I have no weakness that i know of

Hmmm... Maybe that is why I seldom get past the first round with HR

One of the most straight to the point interview

"Your cv looks just like the other 20 sent to me. I don't have any questions for you. Just tell me, in 2 mins, why I should hire you over the other 19"

This is a good source to check out company culture before joining

Very US centric though....

Singapore office culture might be different.

He prob said what he wrote.

"I have no interest to work for bullshiit people too asking idiotic questions"

hahaha

hahaha... no lah.

didnt matter what i have said

it was for a research role with an investment fund. at the end, he admitted to me he has no need for a research guy cos he don't see any value to the role. he will probably not hire anyway.

however he has to conduct some interviews to show his boss (was the boss idea to have a research team)

so i thanked him for his time and for keeping the interview short (under 15 mins)  [laugh]

there was once also... an interview with a CEO in GLC

he saw that i was a mensa member. So he asked what was my IQ score. after i revealed to him, he said "not bad.. slightly lower than mine"

i almost rolled my eyes...

then he asked me which soccer team i support. i said liverpool and he told me he is a man u fan

and added that my answer was wrong. i should have asked him first what team he was supporting before i give my answer

wah lau... never met someone so low on self esteem and needed sucking up so much

in the end i accepted the offer cos i was jobless but quit after 4 mths when i found something else.. LOL

Many years ago my sales manager and I interviewed a new female grad for an entry-level sales position. After answering the usual questions about why she wanted a sales career in our industry, etc, she said "My daddy paid the downpayment for my new car. I pay $A every month for the car and spend $B on clothes, cosmetics and entertainment. Does the job pay more than $A+B? My sales manager and I looked at each other, rolled out eyes and I said, "Next!."

I recall interviewing a sales job at Suntec convention.

The HR officer knocked his knuckles on the table many times and told me something rudely.  Prove to me now!  Prove to me now!

I forget what he said but it was something nasty and rude but the meaning was something like this -so you are here to apply sales position.  Prove to me how you do sales.  Imagine I am your customer, do your presentation to me.  I was so fed up but I just do my presentation and left after that.  I was being asked for 2nd interview but I decided not to cos I was still fed up with the HR officer, I find him unprofessional and inexperience thus I do not want to work in such environment.

The above was many years ago before the Suntec under renovation.

i took it for fun back in uni days

i think the tests are sometimes flawed, i was quite surprised at my own results

u do not need to be a genus to qualify for mensa btw, just a slightly above average score.. i think it was 120 or something

hahaha
