I recall interviewing a sales job at Suntec convention.

The HR officer knocked his knuckles on the table many times and told me something rudely.  Prove to me now!  Prove to me now!

I forget what he said but it was something nasty and rude but the meaning was something like this -so you are here to apply sales position.  Prove to me how you do sales.  Imagine I am your customer, do your presentation to me.  I was so fed up but I just do my presentation and left after that.  I was being asked for 2nd interview but I decided not to cos I was still fed up with the HR officer, I find him unprofessional and inexperience thus I do not want to work in such environment.

The above was many years ago before the Suntec under renovation.

prove me now!! prove me now!!

zhun bo?

but that HR officer so unprofessional....how come he ended there? maybe no passion for his job also

Many years ago my sales manager and I interviewed a new female grad for an entry-level sales position. After answering the usual questions about why she wanted a sales career in our industry, etc, she said "My daddy paid the downpayment for my new car. I pay $A every month for the car and spend $B on clothes, cosmetics and entertainment. Does the job pay more than $A+B? My sales manager and I looked at each other, rolled out eyes and I said, "Next!."

So she got the job? Lololol

Correction again.

Mensa is top 2% but there are different tests out in the market with different standard deviations (IQ mean is almost always 100 for any test).

So for top 2%, you need to be around 2 s.d. above the mean.

Therefore every time you read the papers and they say so and so has this high an IQ, it actually means nothing unless you know which test they have used and what the s.d. of that test is.

I always thought they are standardised. Thanks for the clarification. My wife took the official one. She just falls outside the the cut off level. I will probably do worse than her lol

there was once also... an interview with a CEO in GLC

he saw that i was a mensa member. So he asked what was my IQ score. after i revealed to him, he said "not bad.. slightly lower than mine"

i almost rolled my eyes...

then he asked me which soccer team i support. i said liverpool and he told me he is a man u fan

and added that my answer was wrong. i should have asked him first what team he was supporting before i give my answer

wah lau... never met someone so low on self esteem and needed sucking up so much

in the end i accepted the offer cos i was jobless but quit after 4 mths when i found something else.. LOL

GLC ppl are like that one......

High IQ but bloody low self esteemed, retarded EQ

In the real biz world, high IQ doesn't count for anything.  Personally I know of ppl with high IQ from mensa test, but their career is just mediocre.

IQ results can also be improved. Like ten year series, you can buy and do plenty of practices to get better score.

IQ test result can indeed be improved once you become familiar with the type of test.

But actually I don't think actual IQ will improve.

I think she purposely want to fail the interview la. Then can tell the father, dunno why cannot get job. Keep going interview but no job. Then can keep getting money from her father while looking for rich guy to marry. I know a few girls like that already. Keep saying want to find job but always fail interview. But when you dig deeper, you realise they actually looking for rich husband and don't work.
