Last few round when there is a 3 week break, but the coe also did not increased much lo. So this time round if coe never increased much or even drop, i guess the demand for coe is really weak.

Let not forget that many PI has hold back bidding waiting for the day plus PH has no sign of holding back.2016 and 2017 has higher number of deregistration meaning more new ride renewal. The situation is similar to 3rd quarter 2016. It should be a down but many surprises awaiting too. A few round 47k to 50k range is not impossible before COE draught kicks in. Next few months towards the end of the years should be critical time to monitor for those that are renewing their ride..I believe that there are those ride that expiring in 2 ~ 3 years time might renew their car or COE before expiring.

I also hope this will materalise, but there is no way this will become reality, due to these 2 factors:

1) Backlog orders form Motor Show. The previous bid in Jan concluded just 3 days after Motor Show ended on a Sunday. Many bank loans were not approved yet, hence no bids were placed.

2) Lots of backlog orders & unsecured COEs from Uber & Grab car rental companies comprising:

- Toyota Sienta

- Toyot Altis

- Toyota Axio

- Honda Vezel

- Kia Cerato Forte K3

- Mazda 3

- Mitsubishi Attrage

- Mitsubishi Lancer

Even if the car distributors bid conservatively and COE prices hold at $45K, these car rental companies will rush in to place bids at the last 15 mins before the 4pm closing time to push COE prices up beyond $50K , as demonstrated in the last few bids.

For point 1. I do agree there might be some backlog due to bank loan approval process but it is not going to be a huge number. Did mediacorp blow trumpet about how many new orders had been secured during the show? My own assumption is notnhuge, and not forgetting the quiet booking before motor show to offset the demand.

For point 2. Where did you get the info from ? Care to share ?

Got the info for point from from respective distributors' SE.

Just to rattle off some numbers, 1,000 Attrages, 500 Lancers and 500 K3s were sold recently (car only, without COE)
