What's the point of trying to compare the prices of sg car to bolehland? Hands up those who just discovered that cars are the most expensive in the world here....

Unless some here prefer earning bolehland RM salary?.....lol

Stays in JB.  Work in Sg.

Exactly.... I really cannot tahan those idiots who keep trying to compare car price in SG to MY/USA/Australia.

Find it unfair?... don't buy and take BMW. No one is pointing a gun at their heads.

reviving this thread a little bit.. my idrive cbs is estimating for me that my rear brake pads are due for replacement in about 2.5k km, i find it surprising as my car mileage is only 30k km and front brakes are visibility thicker than the rear, which goes against my experience of front usually requiring replacement earlier than the rear since most car brakes are front bias.. my previous cars’ brake pads last substantially longer before having to replace them..

is this the usual case for BMW, rear pads wear out around 2 years with such low mileage?

not sure if it’s related, but my brake pedals feel really hard to depress after parking overnight, it wasn’t like this when it was new and became more apparent after 1 year into ownership. previous cars will exhibit this behavior only if i leave them parked for 2-3 nights.. i think i’ll have to bang on the table again for this..

any workshop to recommend?

Yep with me since 2021, checking if anyone experience the same. Else I’m intending to go back to PML to insist on a thorough check

My FWD jap suv also rear pads wear slightly faster. Probable reason is that the rear pads are less than half size of front and also much thinner even from new.

Generally, 2 front pad for 1 rear pad

Exactly right.. I am surprised that my rear is wearing out so much faster than the front..

initial response from service pers is the usual “more than 25k is usual and depends on driving style” bulls**t.. will see if I can resolve the brake pedal pressure loss issue + get some better explaination for the faster than usual brake wear.. when I send it in..

+ Alot of Brake Dusts.🤦‍♂️

Normal.

The stock brake pad is quite soft.

For improved braking, just change rotor to Brembo.
