A lot of ppl uses bicycle to commute to work.

I cycled to work daily.

Nowadays, a lot of ppl do Running, cycling and swimming as exercise.

Even in torrential rain?

Can treat everyday as torrential rain day?

Take B. M. W to work and do the exercise portion at PCN during leisure.

Of course not in Torrential rain.

BMW to work is so inconvenient for me.

Cycling in PCN has a higher chance of getting into accident with pedestrian.

In addition, PCN speed limits is 25km/h.

So,

1) PCN is cyclist vs pedestrian

2) Road is cyclist vs lorry/bus/car/motorcylists

Self preservation dictates one choose 1).

PCN for exercise and leisure transport, not meant for saving time... So what is 25kph limit?

Also...erm... My car can go 200kph.easily but Sg highway speed limit is 90kph.... I LLST go 90kph.

PCN is to be shared with pedestrians.
That’s why there is a 25km/h speed limit.

Green corridor has a lower speed limit of 10km/h.

There are a lot of ppl running along PCN uncomfortable with bicycle going at 25km/h.

Till now, I haven’t see any Doc cycles.

I also seldom see Doc ride motorcycles.

So far, I only see 1.

I guess riding motorcycles is more dangerous than smoking.

Am sure it is not mandatory to choose bicycle riding as sports/recreation/excercise...

I can suggest running or swimming as exercise that do not pose danger to oneself and inconvenience others.....if really insist on pedalling, a static cycling machine is also readily available.

Oh no... Went jewel last weekend. Want to cut across the fountain to the other side, who knew part of the circular path was cordoned off for those people exercising on static bike. In the end have to walk one big round. Knn.

Alot of cyclist don't drive and really don't understand how driving works. The kid is barely taller than the bonnet of the vezel, how can the driver see him coming? The parents should gather the kids and cycle slowly across together with the parent in front and not blindly cycle across and hope for the best.

AM's kids very cheap. Most of them time parents hack care. This is a good example. Ceca also sama sama.

I would stop in the middle of the road and usher my kid to cross first then follow from the back. Like army crossing danger zone. Me is the local Chinese kia see kia su mentality.

Precisely, that's the way. In orchard, most drivers will wait for the people to cross before moving on when they can see people on the road. So far I have no problem giving way to pedestrian and pedestrian giving way to me in orchard road.

Though I cycle, I am a driver too...

The driver only saw and honk the parents, didn't expect the kid to chase after parents.

Farking idiot parents, one should be in front, the other should be behind the kid. And teach the kid proper traffic rules.

cos I personally know of one or two....but in general, if you are going to throw a stone to try to hit a doc amongst a group of smokers in the smoking zone, you have to throw a whole wheelbarrow of stones also may not hit one....😁

My reservist MO smoke. Not a light smoker as we (medic) always need to go hunt him down everyday in camp or outfield.
