Horrendous injury to Everton gomez where he broke his ankle with Son beyond consolation.

Honestly speaking, initial tackle was by Son but it was the black spur player that landed on him thy caused more hurt.

Odds on JM being the next Gunners Mgr has tumbled apparently but read another report saying no way will Arsenal Board sanction JM to be next Gunners Mgr. Like the recent rumour that he maybe the next Spurs Mgr, I would take it with a pinch of salt.

That said, it does make sense for serial winner Mourinho to be Gunners boss just like what I posted previously on the possibility of him taking over at Spurs. But for Gunners case, I seriously doubt he will be appointed as it’s a real clash of styles ie his pragmatism vs the beautiful game which was Arsenal’s DNA under Wenger. Don't think Gunners fans will welcome him as well?

rather have brendan rogers... though he say the daftest things but at least all his teams are attacking teams

Agree, Rogers is one of the better British Mgrs and despite what Pool fans may think, he has a good record at all the teams he has managed n now Leicester are flying high under his charge[thumbsup]

Dark horse if Emery does leave could be Max Allegri. I don't think Gunners Board will go anywhere near JM.

Both Spurs players didn't have any intention to hurt Gomes. This is just a freak accident. Think Spurs have appealed the red card for Son. At the speed and intensity they play, I'm not surprised at this kind of injuries. Hope he recovers fully and quickly!

I watched the replay carefully and saw that it was really horrific, i think only lost out to 2 other sports injuries i've remembered watching:

- Cisse breaking his leg

- can't remember who in athletics breaking his leg... think it was a relay match...

Read that he is learning English and eyeing Arsenal, Man United or Spurs roles. That said, Bayern just sacked their Mgr so he is also on the short list there. I believe his preference would be to come to EPL cos a lot of Italian Mgrs have done well here.

Conte, Ancelotti, Ranieri n Mancini have won EPL, Di Matteo has won UCL, Sarri won UEL amongst others[thumbsup]

Is Jorginho the best midfielder in EPL? Statistics seem to prove this n whilst he has improved over last season, I still think Kevin De Bruyne is the best.

Jorgi is still behind KDB by a mile for sure.

But KDB is behind Liverpool's Fabinho and the gap is gradually widening...oh dear!

Maybe I am biased but can't be helped.

Sorry I don’t quite agree that KdB is behind Fabinho. In fact I would rate Jorginho above Fabinho who is not even first choice for Brazil National Team though he is a squad regular.

I suppose football is all about opinions so no right no wrong. In my opinion, Fabinho is a good all round midfielder who puts in a good shift n is ideal for Pool with their high pressing game but that’s about all.
