So many against one, can say bully or not? 😂

No lah, they are just “ passionate “ about correcting the “ wrong “ proposal put up by opposition. Times are bad, need to show working hard mah .

CC is a moron. Obvs when talking abt free rider mp they never contribute or earn their place in parliament persuading people of their merit to vote for them (never paid their dues), they ride in on coattails of ministers (ie get all the benefits). This is correct use of the term. Grc system is directly contributing to free rider mp problem

It is not our fault pinky pull out this term to refer to others and end up  only draw attention to all his free riders

Let's not forget electorally rejected PAP politicians who still end up seemingly more powerful than duely elected non pap MP.

They are more than free riders... they are legendary.

Growing up in a family served by butlers; promoting through the ranks in the army during a period when his father was immensely popular; then taking over the reins of the top job without much roadblocks....

Now he felt butthurt after losing another GRC to gamesmanship (in an election, no less 🙂 ). Then he started throwing his toys out of his prams, calling those people who didn't vote for him (how dare they?!?) all sorts of labels.

If he wants to continue wasting precious parliamentary time on meaningless taunts to people he is supposed to serve, so be it. He is doing exactly what I expect him to do... I don't have very high expectations of him and his behaviour... it's one thing being a sore loser, but a sore winner is totally unbearable.

It's really suay to have such a pm for so long.

The whole debate if anyone is keen.

I watched finished all..

So now you guys see that's where the cracks are in kenysan economics. Sitoh yih pin point out a very real situation on the low interest rate that shape people to borrow and speculate. Tin pei ling also bring a bring good question of so once implemented mimimum wage, economic crisis hit and remove mimimum wage and then when economic crisis is over put back mimimum wage. Jamus lim instead think that do not need to. The problem is that when economic crisis hit and still stick to mimimum wage? Businesses are trying to cut cost then if let's say this businesses wanted to cut salaries of workers to retain them but because of mimimum wage, the employer can't cut due to the wages already at mimimum. So what the employer will do? Cannot cut wages and need survival, so no choice have to retrench. So end up this poor worker lost his job.

End of the day tharman save the day. The way he put across the message.. Power..He is like a teacher teaching students and the students are jamus lim and the other 5 of them who come out and debate with jamus lim. When he come out speak, very powerful..

Now is not the right time to speak min wage

this is the time to speak how to minimise loss, keep unemployment rate low and providing more jobs in new sector to overcome the covid crisis.

basically got job be thankful still want implement min wage and kill more businesses?

Saw this comment on Facebook. So that's what tharman said avoid strawman argument is about. Looks like jamus lim got a lot more homework to do before come out to parliament and propose policy lao.

This is another good comment. Noticed he mentioned if instead of market forces, we force the wage by setting politically..

You guys know what are the implications or not? It's like want to win vote so must look good and show that we care. This is a very dangerous path if our politicians would to go into.
