These are not escooter, they are actually e-bike. Bicycle with battery and motor.

Many modified bike around.

Used to be many on the road, until an accident at West Coast killed the rider and many switched to escooter on the pavement.

Then LTA banned escooter on pavement, but allowed ebikes again.. 🤔

So you see them again every where now..

It's obvious, e-bike, e-scooter, e-anything with a high power pack of lithium-ion cells is clearly dangerous, a time-bomb.

They are not allowed on pavement, only on roads. However not sure how the delivery ppl connect to the last metre. Maybe they mount pavement from carpark to park at lift lobby.

"Hello Mr. Musk, tia gong your car batteries are not safe. Somebody even use the word 'time bomb' but it's not me hor. I hope you understand why you feel unwelcomed by our gahmen. It definitely has nothing to do with the electric vehicle per se."  [laugh]

Its ok for them to ride on them, but they should not danger to people walking on pavement la. They should ride slowly or even stop if they see people walking on pavement. Too bad most of them the speed is quite fast on pavement. 😓

Not sure what rubbish ebike are they riding.

This 1 will cost upward of 2k.

Those burned bike cost 1k or less.

In addition, the bike you showed cannot mod

E-bike was allowed way before LMP tenure.

The problem is unsafe bike substantially cheaper than safer bike.

Just like driver, not everyone can afford BMW (safer bike)

If they are at home, they can put out the fire before it burns the whole house down..

If they are at home, might have chance become shio bak if it burns aggressively and blocked the exit route... 😓

For the obtuse, moving stick/wire on pavement at random times. Wheelchair designated times...ride on path go two years changi.

Bike users pay for implementation, fold it into costs, ensure looking at 2k at least with fire insurance linked to Singpass.

Can use this chain to secure bike.
