Carbon82 Moderator September 5, 2023 Share September 5, 2023 After the Corolla Cross and new Crown, another iconic Toyota model has been SUV-nised... I seriously hope the trend will stop soon. @Toeknee_33what's your thought? Toyota announced the debut of an all-new model on September 6, which will be streamed live on YouTube from Tokyo, Japan. The automaker didn’t name the model but the official teaser photos showing portions of the front and rear suggest it will be the already-confirmed Century-branded SUV. Stay tuned for more updates. 🙂 ↡ Advertisement 12
Hamburger Hypersonic September 6, 2023 Share September 6, 2023 unless the saloon model is dropped, pretty awesome to choose from 2 variants. in terms of looks, big SUV does look more commanding imo.

Car manufacturers have heed their wallets and meet market demands.

Carbon82 Moderator September 6, 2023 Author Share September 6, 2023 Toyota is obviously targeting at Bentayga and Cullinan buyer with the launch of new Century SUV. Price starts from ~S$231K, which is much higher than the OMV of S-Class and 7 series. Toyota has revealed the Century SUV in a number of guises, including a GR Sport variant with rear doors that slide like a conventional MPV, as well as a convertible. For now just the regular version has been detailed. The Century SUV is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain with a total system output of 303kW of power. This is mated to a continuously variable transmission with an eFour all-wheel drive system. Toyota claims the Century SUV has an all-electric range of up to 69km according to Japanese WLTC testing. When the battery is depleted it has an average hybrid fuel consumption of 7.0L/100km.

Jamesc Hypersonic September 7, 2023 Share September 7, 2023 I don't blame them. They wanted a symbol more prestigious than S class and 7 series. What better icon? Jamesc Hypersonic September 7, 2023 Share September 7, 2023 Who don't Toyota sponsor Liverpool? But don't put Toyota on their shirts Put Century. People will see and ask who is Century? Liverpool has a history of Toyota brand names. And we have the Japan captain Endo. The grand Toyota is the Crown right? 1

Heartbreakid 6th Gear October 1, 2023 Share October 1, 2023 Nobody says it is a copy of the Rolls Royce SUV. If it was to be a China made SUV, arrows would have be shoot all over the place. 😆 But still I like the Century Sedan with cloth seats, feels more premium. 1
