I suspect this car is part of GetGo fleet, got abused inside out before being "refurbished" and sold as single owner low mileage "management unit"

Quote

The company is a shareholder in car-sharing firm GetGo, whose fleet consists of several Ssangyong Tivolis. The model is also popular with private-hire car operators.

It is unethical to advise car owner to ignore the check engine light for months at a stretch....if it is in USA, if the car gets into accident during this period, you can be sure that the AD will be sued until their pants drop.

A good used car dealer should never sell a car with CEL on.

They should just remove the bulb.

:D

Just joking I never do this!

I just remove the connector.

Just joking again lah!

Typical black shop that does not ensure car is in full working order before listing for sale. Puikkk

It is a lemon.

His experience may not be unique. Under the Reviews column of Ssangyong Singapore’s website, a Mr Kenneth Wang wrote about an unsolvable Check Engine issue in December 2020 that was almost identical.

I've always felt that Motorw*y was one of the more dodgy ADs around. Seems like I'm right.
